THE SUN WAS OUT WITH A LIGHT VEIL SHADOWING IT SLIGHTLY FROM DIRECT CONTACT TO THE EYE, the man with broad-shoulders and warm smile sat directly in front of the girl with long, black flowing hair that rested down her back. Her long legs crossed, fitted nicely in the white jeans she wore paired with a grey top, elbows resting on the wooden table, a finger on her chin, another resting under her arm. A playful grin lifted at the corners of her bright pink lips, and a strand of hair fell on her face as she tucked it behind her ear. He pretended to stare at the sunlight trailing in from the window behind her, but as her eyes moved towards the drink she had before her, his gaze fell upon her.

"Edenne." He said finally, after a sip of the black tea. His light hazel eyes got brighter as the sun shone through them, almost making the brown transparent.

She nodded and looked up through her hair, flipping it back to reveal her face and set down the mug of tea with green leaves floating atop.

"Do you still want to go to that art museum? I think I might've thought of something better." He smirked slightly with a mischievous twinkle in his eye.

She raised an eyebrow with a smik slowly climbing onto her own face. Her fingers tapped the white mug with slight excitement fluttering through her system. "What's better?"

"The pet store?"

Edenne choked slightly on the rest of her tea before setting her cup down. "Oh hell yeah."

Dylan laughed and got up slowly. "Thought so."

They drove a city away and found a pet shop with many dogs and parrots. They entered with amazed expressions plastered on their faces. There were many colors reflected off of windows and designs from the tanks and rooms. They walked towards a small dog with short legs and tiny paws.

"Do you remember Emerald and Tuesday?" Dylan asked with a small smile on his face, a slight dimple poking out.

She nodded, staring at the grown man putting a hand up to touch the dog over the glass. Emerald and Tuesday had been his dogs, his small chihuahuas that followed him no matter where he went in the house. Tuesday had always been his favorite, she was always by his side and he always played with her whenever Edenne saw him with her.

"Emerald died two months ago, and I'm worried poor Tuesday might be due for her time as well." He sighed, sliding his hand down the glass. "She's been sick for some time as well, and the vet says she doesn't have much time left."

"Oh." Edenne bit her lip as she saw his more vulnerable side, his confidence practically deflating before her. "I'm sorry."

He smiled and shook his head. "No, it's alright. I'll be fine."

"You sure?" She asked.

"Yeah."

The dogs hopped on top of each other in the cage, flooding and filling up more space. He smiled and pointed at them, looking at Edenne. Giggles filled the room as sunshine made things seemed as if it glowed.
