Strangers-CHAPTER TWO

Alex smiled at me with the same warm and familiar smile that I was used to seeing. He too had perfectly white teeth, but the funny thing is that he ended up with two sharp looking teeth on the bottom half of his mouth.

Vampire teeth, I called them. He had always thought that vampires and stuff where overrated however on the other hand, I have always been in love with stuff like that. In fact, I wanted to study in crypto zoology. So, we stood there, looking at each other . I waited for his answer to my question, and I was actually excited to find out what he had in store for me. Like I said before, he never told me to dress nice, because to him I always looked fine.

" Well Carmen, I know you have been sort of lonely and distant , ever since... Hunter." Alex knew that I didn't like talking about Hunter. Hunter was my ex boyfriend, and all I have to say was that he ended it pretty badly. But really by that I mean he cheated on me. See, At the time, Alex wasn't my only best friend. I had this one friend named Camille. She was pretty, she had a tan and long blonde hair. She was defiantly different from those other girls. Who where very "loose" and dressed in micro mini skirts and a different boyfriend everyday.

At least that's what I thought until I caught her with my boyfriend in the um... janitors closet. I sighed, to myself, thinking of that memory. That is the reason why I have never loved anyone or let anyone into my life. That is also the reason why Alex is my only best friend. I loved Alex like a brother and I don't know what I would do without him.

" Oh no Alex, don't tell me your gong to set me up on some blind date!" I groaned. I flopped onto my bed and sighed. I did not want to let anyone else in. Especially not a complete stranger.

" Carmen Trinity DaPechi. You have been moping around for god knows how long, and whenever we aren't hanging out together, you are always locked up in your room with nothing to do! Every time I mention a guy, or you see a happy couple your always frowning! You always keep to yourself, and I hate seeing you like that! Please, will you listen to me about this one thing! Just give it a chance, that's all I'm asking for!"

"Alex... tell me what it is first, than let me tell you what I think." I hated seeing him unhappy, and when I was sad, he was sad. I knew that all he wanted was to make me happy, so I just went a long with what ever he was going to say.

" Well, I was surfing the internet," Uh-oh, I thought. Don't tell me he is going to set me up with some stranger who could end up being a pedophile!

"And, I found this website, 4Ever4life.com, and I think you should try it! I have heard that it is free, and its completely safe! But if you don't wan-"

I cut him off and started to speak.

"Alex, online dating is completely, extremely FAR from being safe. IF you weren't smart enough to figure that out already."

"Yes but its not like you are going to put up your address or anything! Ill try it too! Just please, please, please ,please!" He suddenly got to the floor in a position that you would be in when proposing to someone. I was confused, but that's when I felt pressure on my leg.

I looked down, only to find Alex's arms tied to my leg, and he kept repeating "please, please!" I tried to pry him off my leg, but he wouldn't let go. He would just shake his head screaming "No! no!" I found it quite funny, actually. This caused me to laugh a little bit, and I wanted to get Alex off my leg. As long as he would try it along with me, I guess I could give it a try.

"Okay! Alright! I will try it!" I yelled, and he immediately stood up and trapped me in a bear hug, and planted kisses all over my face. I laughed as he continued to kiss my face all over, like a crazy dog.

"Alex! Haha sto-" not only a second later his lips came in contact with my own, for only a brief second. However, in that exact moment, I felt as if a million fireworks had gone off in my body. He immediately stiffened and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. Well, way to ruin the not having an awkward moment between us ever, thing.

"That was SO uncalled for" I said, which gratefully made him chuckle. That was the response I was hoping for. I brushed, whatever happened a second ago, away from my mind, and continued thinking about the online dating. However I knew that, this thought would come crawling back into my mind, later on.

" So why am I dressed up?" I pointed out, Waving my hand up and down, as if I was showing off a prized possession.

"We have to take you picture silly! For your profile!" Wait what? I stood there striking a pose, like a ballerina, as he took out his camera. He turned it on, and was about ready to take my picture, when he realized what I was doing. Once again he chuckled, and slightly blushed.

"Aww, little Carmen the ballerina! Now come on, lets do a real sexy pose." He wiggled his eye brows, or at least attempted too, and I laughed at his failure.

"Alright then, Mr. I cant wiggle my eye brows." I half smirked, half smiled, and rose my eyebrows a bit, getting ready for my picture. I was pretty calm with the fact that Alex is going to try and use some online dating thing on me. I was never really the one to worry. It was trust, that I had issues with. But I knew Alex wouldn't let me down.

The flash came in contact with my eyes, and I felt the urge to blink, but I didn't. Knowing that it would mess up the picture.

"Alright, lets go and get this over with." I said, as we both made our way to my Black wood computer desk, in the far left corner of my enormous room.

He typed in the words to the address, as I stood behind him, observing.

One thought still lingered in my mind, a thought that I knew was going to come back.

The fact that a million fireworks had gone through me when he kissed me....
