Y/N strode the streets searching for a place to spend her afternoon. Despite staying up the entire night, she had somehow not been able to get her cup of coffee. She walked into her favorite cafe and ordered her drink. She pondered having a seat and relaxing, but decided against it in the end and exited.
As she made her way back to the hotel the rest of the detectives were staying, she heard faint yelling. She looked behind her to see the head detective chasing after her. She stopped and rose an eyebrow. "Y/N! A break has been made in the case!" She rose an eyebrow yet again. "Here, I'll explain it as we go," the detective referred to as Ryuzaki said, now walking slightly a head of her. "Couldn't this have waited until I returned?" Y/N asked kindly, trying not to offend him.
"Well, no, because there is no break. I simply wanted to talk one on one with you, and the best way of doing this would be to catch you alone," he explained. Y/N nodded and covered her yawn with her hand. "Tired?" Ryuzaki asked. "A bit, yeah," she replied as they continued their slow pace. "This is exactly the thing I wanted to speak to you about! So.. How much sleep did you get last night?" he asked, scratching his chin.
By looking at his dark circles under his eyes and messy black hair, she guessed he didn't get much rest either. "Enough," she replied nonchalantly. "Really? You look tired," he said, his hands in his pockets. "I'm fine, Ryuzaki. I always am!" Y/N replied, trying to be cheerful. "If you ever need help with something, I'll do my best and see what I can do," he replied, shuffling into the hotel. Y/N continued to sip her coffee.
