Y/N followed Ryuzaki into the main monitor room. "Now that we have moved into this permanent space, you will all be staying here, at least for a week while we observe your behavior using cameras that can be viewed from these screens," he said, gesturing around him. "I know that this decision may seem unfair, but it's only for your safety. It is also a way to clear your name if suspicion arises. Are there any questions?" he finished. Y/N slowly rose her hand.
"Yes?" he called. "I'm sorry, but why is this happening if we already had cameras in our homes?" she asked. Ryuzaki looked like he was thinking, almost perfecting, his answer. "I didn't mean to sound disrespectful," she rushed out, her eyes flickering an expression of panic.
"I didn't think you were, and the answer to your question is because we observed you and your family's actions, purely at home. Now, we will observe your actions constantly to clear away any suspicions that are sent your way," he explained. She nodded in understanding. "Any other questions?" No one made a sound, or raised a hand. "Excellent!" he said with a clap. "Tomorrow show up with your essentials for a week," he said, eyeing them carefully. As they rose to head home, a few of the men grumbled.
Y/N was rather neutral on the situation as she had no emotional attachment to her apartment and no one who lived with her. Matsuda, of course, seemed as happy and willing as ever. He was a sweet man and one of her better friends from the office.
"Hey, Y/N!" he cheered happily. She smiled back. "Are you excited?" Matsuda asked. "Umm.. Kinda actually, yeah!" she replied. "Great! Maybe I'll become better friends with some of the guys here! They don't seem to be that fond of me," he said awkwardly. "And I don't know why!" Y/N exclaimed, pulling Matsuda into a side hug. He blushed as they started to walk home.
"YN? Could I see you for a moment?" Ryuzaki called. She apologized to Matsuda and told him she would call him later. "Yes sir?" she asked, walking slow to his oversized chair. "What time did you last go to sleep?" he asked, taking a bite of his cake. "I don't remember the time," she lied. She knew exactly: She had gotten three hours of sleep two nights ago. "I won't judge you or anything, if that's what you're afraid of," he said, now mindlessly poking at his cake.
"If you don't mind my asking, how is this useful?" she asked, slightly fed up. "I'm just curious. I like making sure our team is in tip top shape," he said. "I assure you, I'm fine," she said, patting his shoulder gently. He sighed. "If you're sure." She nodded and smiled. She exited the buildings and began to walk home.
"Y/N! Wait up!" a voice called. Matsuda had waited for her. She smiled at the sentiment. "There you are! What did Ryuzaki want?" he asked, walking along side her. "He was just checking on my health," she said, which was half true if not more. "Oh! I've been meaning to ask you! How's your sleeping schedule been?" he asked. "It could be worse," she said nonchalantly. "Mine is wrecked too," he commented. "I usually sleep about eight hours, but I've only been getting five for a couple of weeks now," he continued.
Y/N rubbed his back soothingly in an attempt to calm him. He smiled at her and sighed contently. "Feel better?" she asked sympathetically. He nodded. They arrived at her apartment complex soon after. She hugged him tightly and pecked his cheek. "Get some sleep tonight, for me?" She whispered. He nodded. "You too," he said in almost a warning tone. "I'll try," she agreed. "See you tomorrow!" She called over her shoulder as she entered her empty apartment.
Out of boredom, she began packing her bags. Once she was done, she checked the time, which read eleven. She groaned and got ready for bed. After taking a quick shower and slipped on her pajamas. She crawled into her bed and closed her eyes.
Yet sleep did not come. She laid awake for about an hour before deciding to get a drink. She felt light headed and dizzy, but ignored the feeling and continued to the kitchen. She stumbled slightly, tripping over her own feet. As she reached for her glass, her legs gave out beneath her and she fell, hitting her head on the counter. She closed her eyes as her vision blurred.
