A/n: Here you go, guys; hope you love it! It's a bit more intense, and perhaps more rushed? I hope not, but we'll see what you think :3 Warning for language here, there's some minor cursing. Much love everyone!!
"See you later!" Matsuda waved to the YN as he and Light Yagami exited the headquarters. YN stayed and watched them until they were out of sight. Once they were nothing more than a blurry grey dot, she sprinted up the stairways and into the hall where their rooms were. Upon twisting and shaking the handle every way she could, she found it was locked.
"Damn," she whispered, running a shaky hand through her hair. She sat on the ground with her knees to her chest and back to the door, a choked sob escaping her lips. She had failed, after putting trust in this plan. She could only picture her friends found dead of a heart attack, like all the criminals who had no right being compared to such good people. Matsuda had no clue, the poor soul, and no one but her would believe L. She had to admit, Light's acting was impeccable. She stood up warily, wiping her face on her sleeves. In a last attempt, she pushed her own key into the slot, eyes widening at the familiar click of a door opening.
She entered and peeked inside, finding the plain room immaculate. She began opening drawers, looking under tables and chairs, even in the most unlikely of spots: nothing to be found. She sighed and shook her head, ashamed of her "breaking and entering". But as she exited, a box caught her eye..
She made her way over to the box and steadily opened the lid, peering inside. A black notebook lay there, and upon inspection, it read "Death Note". "What the hell?" she whispered, flipping through the pages containing names of criminals, ones who ad been killed by Kira. She smiled. This was it. All she had to do now was get L to see it.
As she turned to leave, book in hand, a very snarky looking Light Yagami stood there. But he was not alone: a tall, demon-looking figure was draping a piece of cloth over the security camera's lens."Forgot my wallet.." he trailed off, stalking towards the girl. "Nosy, nosy, YN. Oh well, I know your name anyway," he smirked. He walked behind her, and before she could react, a weight pushed against the back of her head, plunging her into jet black.

Meanwhile, in the monitor room, L watched as YN scoured the room. He was aware of her plan, and was skeptical if it would work. If their hunch was correct, she was in severe danger. He simply shook his head and watched as she walked to a box. Just as she touched the lid, the camera cut out. All he could see was black, and silenced graced his ears. "What...?" he mumbled, click buttons spastically to no avail.
L frowned, looking for solutions to the problem, completely unaware that she was in any danger at all.

"Hello?" YN rasped into the darkness. Or, that's what she tied to say at least. In reality it was a combination of awkward mumbles and groans. "Umph! Mmph?!" The taste of cloth grazed her tongue as the realization that she was gagged settled in her mind. Her hands and feet were bound, and she was still completely unaware of where she was. She was alone, in the dark, and direly unsafe.
As memories of moments past flooded her memory, she began to ponder.. was this hell? Surely this wasn't heaven. But she felt so lifeless, she was sure she was dead. But even if this wasn't hell, her head hurt like it. She began wriggling around trying to look at her surroundings, but the place was a kind of dark you just can't adjust your eyes to; the kind of dark you should be afraid of.
She groaned and closed her eyes, angry at her inability to sleep through this torture. So with a heaviness sitting in her chest, she tried her hardest to fall under sleep's spell. After what must of been hours of trying to escape dark and frightening thoughts, she found peace for a short time, enough to succumb to sleep.

"Has anyone seen YN?" L asked the task force the next morning. She wasn't in her room, nor was she anywhere on the cameras at all. A resounding "no" put him desperately on edge, and his back stiffened noticeably. He shook his head dismissively while biting his lip, hoping for her safety.
While L hid his concern, Matsuda was absolutely frantic. He was running in every room, looking under every bed, the basement, anywhere she could possibly be. He was just about to burst into tears when a familiar voice caught his attention. All he heard was Light saying "not now", that's it. It shouldn't have bothered him at all, not one bit. But there was no one else around, no phone in his hand, nothing- just a small notepad. Matsuda shook his head and continued, although the suspicion never left his now unsettled form.
"Mr. Matsuda, please calm down. We will never find Ms. LN if we are panicking too much to do so." Matsuda nodded at L's rough voice. "I know. But what if Kira attacked her?" L shook his head. "She's a strong woman, don't worry-" "We have to find her-now!" Matsuda interrupted loudly, clearly on the edge of tears. L paused, then nodded. "We're on it Mr. Mat-"
L was interrupted yet again, this time by Watari, "Ryuzaki?" "Yes, Watari, what is it?" "The shooter we apprehended is no where to be seen." "W-what?" Matsuda asked. Watari nodded. "I apologize," he said, head down. "Do not worry, we apprehended him once we can do it again." "Y/N can handle herself," Aizawa commented, taking a sip of coffee from his mug.
Chief Yagami nodded, leaving the room to get more coffee for himself. On his way out, he passed his son. "Hey guys," he said, sitting down casually. Silence echoed back to him, and he shrugged it off. Several minutes later, Light leaned over to Matsuda's ear. "Guess who was all over me last night?" he whispered suggestively in his ear. "What?" Matsuda growled, turning to face the teen.
"Oh L/N...Yeah, you should have heard her.. or have you already?" Matsuda was fuming. "What is this-" he started before he was interrupted. "I don't know what happened to her.. it's a shame. The slut would've-" "What did you say?" Matsuda interrupted this time. "Which part?" Light smirked. Matsuda stood up and slammed his fist on the table. "Don't you dare talk about her like that!" he screamed, storming out of the room. All eyes rested in Light, who shrugged innocently.
"Do you think YN is dead?" L's eyes darted to Aizawa who had suggested it, distracting them from Light. "Why do you think that?" "It's likely, with Kira and all. We should prepare for the worst." The others nodded solemnly, leaving L the odd man out as he blinked away any tears.
