I think back to the vision I saw while in touch with the spirit world through the vines. I hope all the people of Ba Sing Se are alright, especially The Boulder and his family, if the machine that the Red Lotus is using has enough power to destroy the walls, I don't want to think what would have happened to the rest of the city. I am shaken from my thoughts as Levi offers me a hand to get down from Mizuchi. I appreciate the hand and hop down.
"Okay Mizuchi, you better go hide in the hills or something, we don't want to freak out the Republic City residents," Serefina says, stroking the side of her dragon's face.
"Plus, the city knows we escaped on a dragon, and we don't know if we are still wanted," I add.
"Oh man, I can't believe we have to talk to the White Lotus, they are going to be so upset with me," Levi complains, continuing to walk. I noticed Serefina giving me a look every time Levi and I do something remotely 'relationship-y' so just to bug her, I kiss him on the cheek and sure enough she rolls her eyes and walks faster. I laugh a little turning back to the city in front of us.
We put up our hoods and sneak into the city limits. I don't exactly know the plan so I ask.
"What's the plan guys?" I ask. Everyone looks at me.
"It's your job to come up with plans," Terra tells me.
"You are the one who likes to be in charge," Serefina tells me. I put my arms on my hips and give them a look.
"I am not the only one with ideas and I don't like to be in charge, but none of you seem to want to be either," I tell them. They don't answer so I just leave it there.
"We will need a place to stay. It might also make sense to come up with a plan and not just walk in to the White Lotus. They may even make us get an appointment," Levi tells our group.
"We don't have time to make an appointment, the Red Lotus's machine was successful, it could be used anywhere at anytime," I tell him.
"I just walked in last time and I plan on just walking in again. I would like to see them try and stop me," Serefina adds.
I smirk at the misfits that make up the new 'Team Avatar' and I realize how much I have come to appreciate everyone's differences.
"Why don't we just go to my house? Or did you guys forget I live in Republic City?" Terra offers.
"Do you really want to put your family in danger?" Serefina asks.
"They are already in danger now that the Red Lotus is openly attacking innocent people. I rather they be prepared to act. Plus, they would want me to tell them," Terra answers Serefina's question.
"How do you know they would want that?" Serefina asks quieter, I think in hope that we don't hear but I still manage to.
"Because we are family, and that's what family does," Terra says even quieter. I frown at first thinking of my parents but then I smile because at least I have my brothers and my extended family. I still am not alone.
We walk for what seems like 32 minutes before coming to Terra's house. She knocks on the door and her mother answers the door.
"Terra! Its so good to see you! And Nadia, you both have some explaining to do," she says, giving us a look. "It would be best if we talked in the backyard, the house is kind of full right now."
"Why is it so full?" Terra asks. "Well, more full than usual I presume."
"We took in a family from Ba Sing Se that lost their home due to the earthquake. Did you all hear about that?" her father asks us.
