"What the fuck just happened?" I mumbled to myself
Chance
"Alright." I got out of bed and walked to the bathroom
"Wassup?" I yawned and rubbed my eye
She didn't say anything. I blinked a couple times and looked at her. My eyes grew wide.
"What the fuck happened?" I stood there in shock.
"I-I don't know. I was sitting here and-and" She began to cry
"Ok. Calm down. It's ok."
I grabbed a towel and handed it to her
"It's not ok Chance." She sobbed
"Come on. We have to go."
I helped her up out of the bathroom and down to the car.
We made it to the hospital within 15 minutes. I rushed in and went to the receptionist.
"I need help. My girlfriend just had a baby"
"Ok Sir. Calm down. How far along was she?" She asked
"I don't know."
"Is the baby crying?"
"Yes."
Nurses rushed out to the car. They placed Kehlani into a wheelchair and another nurse held the baby. I quickly walked behind them.
"I'm sorry but you will have to wait in the waiting area." One of the nurses turned around.
Kehlani
I was placed in a hospital room. They hooked me up to different machines. I looked around the room and began to panic.
"Where did she go with my baby?" I tried to stand up
"It's ok sweetie. They are just running a few tests. The nurse will be back but as for you. I have a few questions." the nurse pulled a chair over and sat down. "How far along were you?"
I looked down with tears in my eyes. "I didn't know I was pregnant."
She nodded. "Did you drink or smoke at all?"
"Yes." My voice cracked. "Not everyday just occasionally. I-I didn't know."
The nurse placed her clipboard on the bed and sat beside me. "Everything will be ok." She rubbed my back. "Now I just need you to tell me how you gave birth."
I took a deep breath and nodded. "I got up out of bed because I thought I had to use the bathroom. I sat on the toilet and it just happened. I called my boyfriend into the bathroom and then we came here."
Soon as I finished speaking, the other nurse walked in.
"Great news. Your baby is perfectly fine. A healthy 7 pounds and 10 ounces. Do you have a name for her?" She smiled
"No not yet."
"Take your time. We'll leave you two alone for a while."
She pushed her over to my bed side and backed away.
"Could you send in my boyfriend?" I asked
"Of course. I'm sure he wants to hold his beautiful baby girl too. What's his name?"
Chance
"Chancelor Bennett."
I jumped up once I heard my name. I followed behind a nurse. She stopped in front of a door that read 1131.
"Congratulations." She patted my shoulder before walking away.
I slowly walked into the room. Kehlani was holding the baby.
"You ok?" I sat at the end of the bed.
"Yea." She smiled, never taking her eyes off of the baby. "She's beautiful babe."
"It's a girl?" I smiled hard. "Wow. I have a daughter. What did you name her?"
"I haven't. I couldn't do that without you."
"Its up to you."
"I want you to pick." She looked over at me.
I walked over and stood beside Kehlani. "What about Jordyn?" I paused "Jordyn Rae Bennett."
"Sounds good." She smiled
