Chapter 13

Kehlani

"What are you doing here?"

"Is that any way to greet your mother?" She walked over to me and embraced me in a hug but my arms remained by my side

"My mother? You have no right to call yourself a mother."

"I missed you baby girl" she smiled as she moved a piece of hair from my face.

I moved back away from her "Missed me? You missed me? Your daughter that you abandoned because she ruined your life?" I shook my head "Come on Chance." I grabbed his hand and walked past her towards the bus.

"Wait!" She grabbed me

I snatched my arm away. "Don't touch me. I have nothing to say to you." I walked onto the bus and sat down

"You okay?" Chance sat beside me

The only thing I could do was nod. If I was to speak, I know the tears would flow. I got up and walked to the back of the bus to the sleeping area. I stripped down and climbed into the bed.

Why did she just show up like that? She's been gone this long and now she wants to appear and be my mother. I can't let her stress me out. I have a tour to do. I scrolled through instagram until I fell asleep.

"I love you all." I spoke into the mic as I walked off the stage. Another amazing show. I smiled to myself. This tour has really been great. I'm looking forward to going home to Oakland for my last show. That's home and it will be great to see everyone.

"Lani!" Kendrick rushed over to me.

"What?" I drunk some of my water

"Your mom keeps showing up at every venue. I've been keeping her away for the past shows but she keeps popping up. You need to speak to her or something before she gets arrested."

I took another gulp of water then  shrugged "Arrest her." I walked out of the building

"Come on. Just five minutes. She must want something if she's following you." Kendrick spoke from behind me

"Exactly. She wants something." I walked onto my bus

He sighed. "Just hear what she has to say."

"Fine." I crossed my arms. "Bring her to my bus."

I sat on the couch, scrolling through my phone while I waited. Chance walked onto the bus to use the bathroom. Shortly after, Kendrick came back with my mom.

She sat at the table across from me and Kendrick left. No one said anything. We both sat there staring at one another.

"What do you want?" I finally broke the silence

"I want to apologize. I've been mean to you for no reason."

I remained silent.

"I also said several things I shouldn't have. And I shouldn't have left you the way I did. It was wrong and I'm sorry."

I nodded

"So you forgive me?" She smiled

I laughed loudly "No. But you said what you had to say so you can leave now."

Her smile faded and she stood up. "And why the fuck not?" She yelled "I'm the one that gave birth to your ungrateful ass and this is how you repay me? You think you big shit now, you don't want to take care of your mother?"

"Hell no. I'm not taking care of your ass. I'm not fucking stupid. That's the only reason why you had that fake ass smile on your face. Get the fuck off of my bus."

"No. I'm not leaving until I get what I want. All those years you ruined my life. I gave up my freedom for you! I will never get those years back and its because of you! You owe me and I'm not leaving until we have some kind of deal." She sat back down.

"Deal? I don't owe you shit."

I walked off of the bus to find someone to get her. I found a security guard near by. I had him follow me back to my bus. When I got back she was watching tv as if nothing happened. I shook my head.

"Could you escort her off of my bus please." I asked the guard and he nodded

"What's the problem sweetie?" My mom looked at me

I ignored her and walked to the back. She's beyond crazy.

Chance was laying across the bed. I crawled on top of him and took his hat off of his face. 

I kissed all over his face. "Chancey." I sung in his ear "Wake up"

"I'm up" he mumbled

"No you're not." I bit his lip and slowly began to grind on him.

He grabbed my hips and his eyes opened.

"I told you I was up."

"Yea, now you are." I smirked

Chance flipped us over so now he was on top. He attacked my neck with kisses.

I bit my lip to hold in my moans. He moved lower. My eyes stayed with his as he kissed around my panty line.

Just as he was about to pull my pants off, the light flicked on and I pushed him to the side. Solana stood in the doorway.

"As much as I enjoyed the show, you two have to cut it short. I'm sleeping on your bus tonight."

"What? Why?" I sat up

"I have to get away from those guys Lani. I need a break." She pouted

Chance groaned as I got up.

"I'll be back." I kissed his lips

I walked to the front of the bus with Solana and helped her fix her bed. She went on about how the guys on the other bus are. I can understand, guys can be disgusting sometime. Once she was comfortable, I turned off the lights for her.

I ran down the hall of the bus and dived onto the bed. Chance wasted no time ripping my pants off.
