You peeked a little farther from behind the door. You have never seen anyone like this odd stranger before. He was at least a foot or two taller than you and wore a bright green hoodie with white bold letters spelling the word, "Sup" and blue jeans. Black converse covered his feet. Ruffled brown hair sat atop his head. What most intrigued you was the man's features... or lack of features. His face was covered by a white mask with a poker face on it. In his hands was a small tupperware container. "Hello, there!" He greeted warmly. You gave a squeak in response and averted your gaze. "Don't be shy! I got something for you!" You gulped and opened the door a little more. He reached his arms out further. You gently took the container from him, stumbling a bit, and looked back at his... erm... mask. "Not much of a talker, are you?" The man chuckled, scratching the back of his neck. You shook your head sheepishly, staring at the ground. "By the way, my name's Cry! You are..." He paused, waiting for me to fill in his sentence. "(Y-Y/n)" you stammered. "Nice to meet you, (Y/n)!" He exclaimed, holding out his hand. You set the container down on the porch, careful not to put much wait on the bad leg and shakily intertwined your hand with his. "T-Thank you, Mr. C-Cry." "Please, call me Cry." He said politely. "O-Oh... sorry." You apologized. "What? What's to be sorry for?" He asked, tilting his head a little. You just shrugged and(carefully) picked up the container. "N-Nice meeting y-you." You said taking small steps inside the house. "Excuse me... (Y/n)?" Cry asked before you closed the door. "Would you mind if I come in and... you know... chat?" You froze. "P-P-Pardon?" You asked, your voice cracking. Your house wasn't very interesting, just like you, so why would this strange new neighbor (A/N: You found out that he was your new neighbor because of the fact that he didn't really treat you like other neighbors did... sorry, readers who may have thought our reader-chan was psychic *anime sweatdrop*) want to even talk to me. But, you shouldn't be rude. "S-Sure." You sighed. You felt Cry brighten up with excitement. You lead him into the living room and told him to wait before you put the container of food in the fridge. You stepped into the the living room and sit down a at least a foot away from Cry. "Nice place you have!" He said enthusiastically. You felt your face heat up, "Thanks." Suddenly, a thought popped into your head. Maybe... "W-Would you like to see my garden?" I asked half-heartedly. "Sure!" Cry answered instantly, shocking me even more. You got up steadily from the couch and motioned him to follow you. You lead him through the kitchen and to the back door. You took a deep breath and opened the door. Once Cry set foot outside he paused and started looking around. You felt your heart sink. He doesn't like it. "I-It's beautiful." He breathed. You just stared in shock. He likes it?! "Did you do this? Like... all of this?" He asked, though he was in a daze, still looking around like a child. "Y-Yeah?" You answered, though it sounded more like a question. "Wow." He said in awe. Light pink dusted your cheeks. You limped towards the marble bench and quietly sat down. Wait. You limped. You turned your head towards Cry's direction and caught him staring at you. Oh no. He strode towards me and sat on my right. You were shaking a little bit now. "Are you alright, friend? I saw you trip on something and I wanted to know if you were good." Wait, what? I sighed. Oh thank God. He got it wrong. "Y-Yeah, I'm good." I assured, a small smile spreading on your face. You saw Cry's ears turn red. Was he... blushing? No. I'm sure it's just me and my silly imagination. I stood up more carefully than last time and stepped towards the back door. "Oh... uh," Cry hesitated,"It's getting really late. I have to go. Sorry, (Y/n) friend." A small frown tugged at your lips. "Well... thank you very much for visiting me... it means a lot." You smiled whole-heartedly. Cry's ears turned a deeper shade of red. "Happy to make a new friend." And with that, he walked out of the house, leaving you in your lonely house again. You sigh and close the curtains for the day. Then, you retreat to your bedroom to get a good night's rest.
