" I've been having such a good time up here, I honestly can't imagine going back, I wanna stay," I said as I looked into the little girls eyes.
"It is nice in deed daddy, but you have too, what about Beyoncé and grandma, Uncle August, Uncle Trey, Jamie, what about Auntie Lytrell? Aren't they going to be sad? They need you daddy, and you can't leave Beyoncé, you can't, she needs you daddy and its some bad people the same bad people who hurt you they want to hurt her," she replied.
"What bad people?" I asked confused.
"I can't tell you daddy, all I can say is that you have to go back and protect her. You're going to be happy if you do," she smiled.
"Am I really?" I asked.
"Yeah," she nodded.
"Why?" I asked.
"Daddy, you ask a lot of questions," she giggled.
"I can't help it, I'm curious," I laughed.
"Just like me, and daddy don't worry about your knee, your going to go back there ten times stronger," she smiled.
"What was you're mother going to call you?" I asked.
"I don't know, she had a book of names but never picked one, she wanted you to pick one daddy," she said with her head down.
"Can I see the book of names?" I asked.
"Yes," she smiled.
We swapped into another room, and this one was Nia's I remembered because we had a lot of good times in here.
On her night stand was a book, the girl lifted her hand, and the book flew open to a page with three names on them.
Brooklyn. Patience. Royalty.
I looked down at the little girl and smiled. "Royalty," I said as I bent down to face her.
She smiled at me and I kissed her cheek while making her laugh.
Soundly the sound of a clock went off and she looked shocked.
"Daddy, were running out of time, you have to go back daddy and right you're wrongs, you have to tell the truth daddy, and you have to do it now, or God will be disappointed," she replied.
I nodded my head and smiled. "Okay, I'm going back," I replied.
"Thank you daddy," she smiled. We both inched towards our perspective doors. Mines said Earth, hers didn't have a name.
"No thank you," I replied.
"Bye daddy," she waved.
"Bye princess," I replied back as I blew her a kiss.
Just as I turned around to open the door I called her name.
"Wait.... Royalty, will I ever be able to see you again?" I asked.
"When it's your time daddy we will see each again if you do what God has asked of you," she smiled.
"I will sweetheart, I love you," I said as I opened the door.
"I love you too daddy," she replied.
I smiled as I lifted my arms and walked through the door. Reality set in and I new I had to go back.
