(Sophie's POV)
"Alright, that's a wrap!" Hunter took off the headset and made his way out of the room. We both had been here since 7am. I don't know about Hunter but I was extremely hungry. I checked my phone to see that it was already noon. I don't know how he manages to stay hyped up all day.
"So how was it?" Hunter asked making his way to where I was sat.
"It was amazing! It's kind of insane how much work goes into making an album if you think about it." He grabs my hands to pull me off of the sofa.
"Are you hungry?" I was about to answer but my stomach growled beating me to it.
"I'll take that as a yes." He laughs grabbing my hand and making our way out of the room.
"We have about an hour break for lunch and there's a little deli around the corner is that ok?" He continues, pushing open the double doors that lead to the streets of LA.
It was definitely hot out but there was a nice breeze streaming through. The weather was still uncomofortable and I could feel myself starting to sweat. I wondered if I should call Austin and see if he's in the area later on today. I have no idea what he's up to. Plus I didn't call him a couple of days ago. I hit my forehead remembering I had reminded myself but never done it.
"Nice going Soph." I mumbled under my breath.
Hunter looked down at me and raised one eyebrow as if to say, "what?"
I shook my head and smiled muttering that it was nothing. We continued to walk down the block and before I knew it we were in front of a small restaraunt.
I could have cared less where we ate. All I know is if I didn't get food into my stomach soon I would end up throwing a fit. I couldn't help it. That's how I was. I was grouchy when I was hungry.
We entered the Deli and made our way towards a booth. Once we were seated we ordered our food. When the food arrived I began to dig in. Gosh this burger is so good.
"I have to go back to the studio after this. If you want you can come back with me or I can have someone drop you off at the hotel?" Hunter asked while taking a bite of his burger.
I shrugged, "I think I'm gonna go to the hotel and relax for a bit. I kind of want to go see a movie but I don't know if I'll be up for it."
I mean I don't want to leave Hunter alone but I didn't want to be cooped up in the studio all day. I honestly don't know how he does it.
He pulled out his phone and began to type on it. I continued to eat my fries and view the passerbys from the window. It was actually really hot outside. I have no idea how people can wear jeans in this weather.
"Alright, when we get back to the studio someone will pick you up and take you back to the room. Sound ok?" I nodded my head and smiled.
"You about done?" Hunter asked looking at my now empty plate. He starts to laugh at me.
"What's so funny?" Do I have something on my face? Did I spill ketchup on my shirt?
"Nothing it's just that you're cute when you eat." He states taking a sip of his water.
Cute? When I eat? I highly doubt that, I probably look like some kind of wild animal savaging a meal like I haven't eaten in days.
When the waitress comes over to set the bill down Hunter ends up paying for it. I feel really bad because I don't want him to think I'm using him for his 'money' and I really hate when people pay for me. But he never allows me to pay for anything, so I figured that I just wouldn't put up a fight anymore because he's gonna pay one way or another.
He grabs my hand and we walk back to the studio. And before I know it I'm saying goodbye to Hunter and already in the SUV.
The driver was an older male and I could tell he was tired. Poor thing. I didn't make conversation with him at all. I was too exhausted to. I thought about taking a nap when I got back but then I would be up until 4am. I decide against doing that remembering how sleep deprived I was last time.
I finally arrive at the hotel and I mumble a thanks to the driver. He nods his head and drives off. I make my way inside and up to the room in one piece. I plop down on the bed and think about what to do.
What can you do in California? No the question is What can't you do.
I grab my swimsuit and everything else that I'll need and stuff it in a bag. I text Hunter where I'm going and exit the hotel.
I hope I still have the hang of it.
