(Sophie's POV)
H: Ok the place is about 15 minutes away from your house. It's like on the corner of the street next to that big mall. I'll be waiting outside near the doors! Can't wait to see you (:
He gave me the address following his text. Hmm Ok.. He said casual. But what if what I wear is too "dressy"? What if he takes one look at me and decides to just leave me standing there? What if Lauren is there and they end up having a make-out session by the bathroom? I started rubbing my temples. Over-thinking really gave me a headache.
Ok no. Sophie calm down. He's not going to do that. He wouldn't do that. You're going to have a good time ok. Just calm down and have fun. You got this. You can do this.
Where's my mom? You may ask. Well, you see she went on a business trip about a week ago and wont be back for 2 months. MOM FREE. But there's always a down side to everything. Yes. She left me with "IT". She left me with Kate.
I kind of had the urge to go with my mom. A couple of months away from everything would be quite nice.
I went to my closet in spite of hunting down the right outfit. I started skimming through my jeans when I finally found something. "Perfect." I whispered.
I laid ithe piece of clothing out on the bed and went to go take a shower. I mean I took a shower okay? I'm not gonna bore you and say how good the water felt or what type of Shampoo or Body Wash I use. It's vanilla and berries by the way. So yes. After that I wrapped myself in a big, white, fluffy towel and let myself be enveloped in it's heat.
I wish I had a whole igloo of warm towels so I could just wrap myself in them. I absentmindedly frowned at the thought because I couldn't do that.
I combed the knots out of my hair and left it to air dry in it's natural waves. I then applied a very thin coat of eyeliner and some beige eye shadow. Uh yeah I don't do mascara or anything.
I went over to my phone to check the time. 6:50 p.m. . Perfect. Right on time. I mean I didn't want to show up early or anything. I went to my bed and threw on the outfit.
*Ding Dong*
I grabbed my keys from the window sill and rushed downstairs. I opened the door to find my beautiful best friend standing there. "Thank you so much for doing this for me Darla." She was gonna watch Kate again for me tonight.
She rolled her eyes at me as she walked in. "Well, what am I supposed to do? Let my best friend pass up a date with her soul mate." She said smirking. That rhymed didn't it?
Now it was my turn to roll my eyes. "It's not a date." I muttered while sitting down on the sofa. "He doesn't even like me like that.' Darla's eyes got really wide.
"Sophie what are you talking about? Of course he does! I mean if he didn't then why would he tell me-" A look crossed over her face as if she suddenly remembered something. She snapped put her hands over her mouth.
"Darla what's wrong?" I said furrowing my eyebrows. What was she gonna say? She shook her head and then smiled.
"Listen to me Soph. Just go to the party and have fun ok. Don't worry about anything else just let loose and relax." She said grabbing my hand and pulling me up with her.
"You look gorgeous." She said spinning me around. "Now go and show Hunter what he's missing out on." And with that she pushed me out of the door and locked it. I looked up to the sky to see gray clouds forming. Ah what perfect timing.
