Elena's Point of View

I fluttered my eyes open, realizing that I had just woken up. I stretched my arms and legs before pulling the covers off and over my body and getting up. Today was my first day of senior year, great. It was mid October so it was the second quarter of first semester.

I made my way to the bathroom and looked at my face, makeup all smeared from crying last night. I washed my face and brushed my teeth and went back to my room to pick out a nice outfit. I put on some eye shadow, eyeliner on the top of my lids, and mascara. Thankfully, my hair is some what straight so I don't have to worry about that.

I made my way downstairs and grabbed a water bottle from the fridge and noticed my mom drinking a cup of coffee and reading the newspaper. I grabbed my bag out from the dining room and someone knocked on the door.

"Make sure it ain't the police. I don't want any bullshit." My mom shouted from the kitchen. I peeked out from the curtains and saw the boy from yesterday with short black hair. He was standing there with his hands in his jean pockets.

"Robert?" He looked up and smiled.

"Hey since today is your first day, I was wondering if you would want to come with me and maybe chill with my friends for the day."

"Sure why not. Let me just grab my car keys." I walked to the key holder and snatched them, speed walking back to the door so my mom doesn't notice.

"I'm leaving!" I yelled, then shut the door.

"Why are you in such a hurry? Are you that anxious to get to school." Robert joked but I didn't listen.

"Please just get in the car fast." I hopped in and put the keys in the ignition and drove down the road.

Really I was only in a hurry because I didn't want my mom to see I was with a boy, she would flip.

"Sorry it's just, I can't be seen with boys. My mom has a strict policy about that." I broke the silence with the radio playing in the background.

"It's ok. I would usually see your dad like that."

My heart sunk when he said "dad". "Yeah so would I." I said quietly rushing he was still here.

After so many minutes of silence I pulled up to the school and found a parking spot. Now this school is huge. I grabbed my bag and Robert made me follow him to all his friends. They were all surrounded by a red range rover. Music was blaring through the speakers.

"Hey boys." Robert went and greeted them then he introduced me. "This is my friend Elena. She just moved here and I thought she could be with us." I awkwardly waved and one of the girls wearing a cheer uniform looked at me and looked back to a kid named Austin I think Robert said.

"Hey I'm Sarah! Well you probably already know that." She laughed and and grinned. I walked over with her to two of her other friends and her boyfriend Alex.

"Well we better get going." Casey said and walked a few feet away from the car then turned around.

"C'mon Austin!" He looked at me while walking backwards to Casey direction then wrapped his arm around her waist.

"That's our cue." Zach said and we walked to the school.

I stayed with Alex because we had a lot of classes together. We walked into 1st hour and sat next to each other.

Robert's Point of View

When Casey was gone I walked up to Austin, Casey is always up his ass.
