Chapter 6

I had gotten up for work the next morning. Still thinking about what happened yesterday. I'm not lucky with guys. They all end up doing me dirty. Can't believe I fell into his trap. I was deep into my thoughts until I got a call from my dad.

"Hello."

"Hey baby girl."

"Hey dad."

"How's Miami treating ya?"

"Could be better."

"You know I'll be coming home soon. So I can either meet you in New York or Miami with your mother."

"It's up to you guys, it doesn't matter. I miss you guys."

"I miss you too. Your mom told me you didn't have a car yet in Miami. So I wired over some money for you to get a car. I think your mother did too."

"You guys are the best. I love y'all so much."

"Love you too. I have to go back call me again soon. Can't wait till I see you. Bye Amelia."

"Bye dad." I hung up the phone.

I love my parents so much. They did so much for me even when I didn't ask.

I still had to get to work, it was 9:45am so I had to head out now. Walking down into the lobby I seen Bryson getting his mail. He turned around and looked at me. I just looked at him in disgust and shook my head and he turned back around. I stopped to look back at him. I really do love him. But I'm not going to let him play me for a fool.

"Hi, welcome to the MAC store, my name is Amelia. If you need me i'm here to help." I smiled.

"Thanks." The lady said and she went on her way.

I just walked around looking at things and fixing up anything and seeing if anyone needed help. I heard the door open and it was Taijah. I just looked at her and rolled my eyes.

"That's not a way you treat your customers Amelia." She smirked.

I just looked at her and went to the back.

"Melanie, I'm taking a break now."

Melanie was the manger but she was super cool. We connected super fast.

"Okay, but why?"

"Long story, but you see that girl, yeah I don't like her. I'm not going to sit here and let her mock me around."

"Alright Amelia, you can take that break until she leaves. It's better than you trying to fight her. Oh that would be so funny." She began to laugh

I laughed. "Thanks."

*10 minutes later *

"She's gone Amelia"

"Finally I can get back to work"

I had finished my job around 4 and had gone to the dealership to look for a car. I had Seen one car that I liked. It was a jeep. I would come back next week with Allie. I had gone home after that and tried to get my mind off of everything that's happened. it hasn't even been a week yet and so much shit has happened.
