I slipped out of Kay's room and got ready as I went outside. It was about 7pm. I heard the door open. "Going so soon huh?" she yelled. I laughed. "I'm going on a date with Arnold I'll be back later!" I continued to walk as I came to the bridge and saw him. "Good Morning!" he said. I greeted him with a gentle hug. "I asked you to came her because..." he said then paused. He bends over and opens a box. Wait. It was too soon to get married! What has gotten into him? Is he crazy? "This is a promise ring not a engagement ring." he softly spoke. Looks like I got the wrong idea. How could I even think he was gonna do that? Crazy me. I laughed. "You thought I was going to get engaged to you?" he asked. "Yup! You fooled me really well." I laughed and he put the ring on my finger. "I also hope that will remind you of the promise of not to attempt ending your life because someone truly cares about you and will wait for the day you graduate and get married to you." I hugged as I cried. He used a soft tissue to wipe my tears as I stopped. Ew. Why am I so emotional? Haha. I laughed inside.
Arnold took me to Kay's house and then left. {I forgot to mention that Kay is a nickname Kaylee and not Kaycee, sorry!} I walked in as I saw disgusting boy a.k.a Brandon. "We'll look who's back." he said. Oh my gosh I bet Kaycee and Brandom would be the worlds best couple for being disgustingly rude. What if they were dating? I just had to be curious huh? "Hey Brandon. You have a girlfriend?" I asked as o felt nervous. "No why? You wanna be mine? I'd take you like no other girl." he responded as he attempted to flirt. "Don't push limits with me." He rolled his eyes. He looked at me as the ring caught his eye. "Jeez someone got the nerve you give you a ring? Arnold huh? That boy always gets girls." I really was about to punch him. But I had to control myself cause Kaylee's dad came in the kitchen. "Eating some breakfast?" We nodded. He then left to go in the backyard to do some gardening. "Wow I bet you'd be the perfect boyfriend for an animal with the name of Kaycee or one of her friends Madison or Mary." I made it look like an insult as payback. He stopped as he came up to me and grabbed my wrist. "If you didn't know Madison and Mary are my sisters. Don't you dare talk about them!" He let go and went to sit down and finished eating. " No wonder you guys are like a pea in a pod. Always stirring trouble!" Kaylee came down as she heard the yelling. "Tay! Slow down with the insults cause someone's gonna cry!" I laughed. Brandon got up and stormed out of the house. "I think it's time you realize Brandon flirts that way." she said. "Ew! Gross I couldn't last a minute." I went up to pack up for tomorrow, which was Monday. I left with a goodbye. I saw Arnold playing with a group of friends so I didn't bother. Lucky he didn't hang out with Brandon either. I went inside the home and no one was there so I went to the barn. "Howdy sweetie pie!" my dad said. "Where's mom?"
"She's at the farm over there with so people to hire to help us."
"Dad I don't want you to get crazy but...."
"IS THAT A RING?"
"I was going to tell you. Yes, it is a ring but it's a promise ring from Arnold not a wedding ring."
"Haha you got me!"
"That's the same thing I said!"
We laughed as I went inside.
I took a tiny nap and woke up about 35 minutes later. Crap! I forgot about the homework! I searched for the homework in my bags. Oh gosh! I totally left it at Kaylee's house! It was about 6pm as I told my dad and I went over to Kay's house. "Hey darling!" I saw Kaylee's mom holding a piece of paper. "Did I by chance left my homework here?" I questioned as I tried to peek at the paper. "Oh yeah! I believe this is it." She gave me the paper. "Thanks so much!" She nodded. "I was about to throw it away. Lucky you. "Have a nice evening!" said and shuts the door. I walked home fast as I could as it was getting dark. I stopped as I felt something strange I was about to look behind me as someone covered my mouth. Hmmm!!! I yelled and the person said shhh! As I looked, it was Arnold? As he gave me a little box and he ran home. I ran home as quickly as possible as I was afraid of getting in trouble. "Found your homework?" my mom said. "Yeah it was at Kay's house." I said and nodded as I went to my room.
I quickly finished the homework as I put it in my book bag. Now it was time to open the box. I saw something shiny glistening at my eyes. What could it be?
