I looked left to see Brandon and Kaycee. Wow! They made up so fast ever since he embarrassed her on the previous prom. "Oh my god your so pretty!" Kaycee said. I smiled. I was glad she was a goodie goodie. Brandon smiled and looked at me. He gave me an uncomfortable look. Arnold gave me a signal to go and change. I came out as Arnold took me to the accessory isle. He took a pair of earrings, a necklace, and bracelets. We went to checkout as I looked to see Kaycee changing clothes as Brandon stared at me. He began to stop staring since I was looking at him. I was scared he didn't see me as a friend. He saw me more than a friend. I was scared. "Are you okay?" Arnold asked. "Let's go home."
He drove me to my house as I got out. "Thanks!"
"No problem."
"So what was the price?"
"Can't tell. It was a secret." He smiled. I smiled as I walked inside my house and he got in his car and drove off. "Wow, looks like my daughter's getting a good time with that boy." my father said. My mother laughed so hard she almost choked on water. "Good one Ricky!" They laughed. "Bwig Swissy!" I heard and looked back as I saw my baby cousin. "Hey Layla!" I said as I hugged her. "Staying out of trouble?" I questioned. "Yeah! Recently my best friend got into a fight and I punched her and her lip busted!" I stopped laughing. "Are you suspended?" I was in shock. She wasn't the type of girl. "Oh my!" My mother yelled. "She's just messin' with cha!" my uncle said. "Hey Uncle Lenny!" I said. They prepared to go home after dinner. I had an exciting day and was ready to go to bed.
I went to bed as I forgot the whole homework thing. I quickly did the homework as I saw another sheet with a sticky note. It read:
Haha! Looks like your going to have to do mine too!

He broke his promise. I was upset but then I laughed it out. I'm definitely going to get him back for this. I finished and went to bed.
The next morning came as I got ready. I came down for breakfast when I saw a note on the kitchen table.
Hey sweetie! Breakfast on the table is for you! Me and your dad are getting the festival ready!

I completely forgot about the festival coming soon. That means I need to send the invitations out by today. I ate oatmeal like usual. I grabbed my backpack as I was rushing out to go near the field. "MOM!" I shouted. She turned around along with the workers. "I need the invitations." I said.
"No it's fine I already sent them out. Except... I forgot Arnold."
Haha. She forgot Arnold. Maybe I should play a trick on him. After all he made me do his homework. I love this plan. I saw a car coming. "Your gonna be late!" Arnold yelled. I blushed. "Bye Mom!" I yelled and rushed to the car as he got out and opened the door. "Aww! Such a gentlemen." I said.
"Yeah I only do that in front of your parents so they realize I'm a good son-in-law." I pinched him. "OW!" He jumped. I laughed as he punch me. "MEANIE!" I yelled. "I'M JUMPING OUT RIGHT NOW!" I shouted as I grabbed the door handle. "Your breaking out promise!" He said. Then I realized I was suiciding if I jump out. Dang it. "Why are you so lucky?" I asked.
"It's not being lucky, it's about a promise. A promise should always be kept no matter what."
I smiled. The word promise made me happy. Promise. Promise. I loved repeating it in my head.
We went to class on time, barely. I had a good time while Arnold was laughing with his soccer buddies about making me do his homework. I was just about to laugh as I signaled him to look at my hand which was above the recycle bin with his homework. He shook his head no as his friends laughed. He came rushing over and got it as he put it in the tray. I did the same. "Good one,
Taylor!" I turned as I saw Kaycee. I heard she was in rehab for a bit. I didn't mind. "Okay listen up!" Miss Murina said. "We have a new student. Please pay attention. Start of by introducing yourself." She stood next to Miss Murina. "My name is Leyah. I am 18 years old and I love reading." She said and smiled like an anime character posing for a photoshoot. Everyone clapped as she went to sit down right between me and Darien. I looked to my left who was Arnold. "Do you think we should become friends?" He whispered. I put my hand up to signal for him to talk later. Class was pretty good for that day. We watched a movie.
About two more days and we are out of school.
