I sit in cold desk; tapping away my pencil on a wood top. I chew the sides of the pencil slowly; thinking of a math problem my older brother Dakota could have easily gotten.

"There is a math test next Tuesday. So make sure to study." Mrs. Parker exclaim.

The bell rings intensely. Students gather their books and shuffle quickly to where ever they had next. I sit there for a good two minutes after all the commotion and trail out of the classroom. I had a free period then lunch so I was free for about two hours.

I wonder to the schools garden and walk down the concrete jungle. My hand glides through colors of flowers. I find a near by bench and sit. I yank out a book from my bookbag I didn't start yet and burry my head in it.

Minutes gone by and I felt a presence near. A petite outline of darkness, shadows in front of me. I look up from my book and it's the star clip girl from a couple days ago. She stares at me in awe.

She then today has a sun flower clip. It matches her sweatshirt. It's our school emblem the Pearington High Owls.

"Hello..." I ask confusingly. I wonder what made her want to approach me. Did she see me look at her yesterday?

"You have pretty eyes." She randomly states. Her cuteness made me smile.

"Thanks." I couldn't help but admire her up close. She had dark brown hair. It was naturally wavy. It covered half of her apple shaped face. She had big doe, brown eyes that twinkles in the sunlight.

"Sorry that was, eh weird." She blushes and looks down. She plays with her sweat shirt.

"That's okay." I laugh it off a bit. I close my book and put it away deep into my bookbag.

"Do you wanna talk?" I felt kinda nervous. Many girls don't come up to me and say my eyes are pretty.

I scoot and wave away some grass and dust off the bench.

"Yeah." She smiles a bit and sits beside me. I smile back at her.

"What's your name?" She asks me.

"Sky." I run my hand through my thick hair so I looked at least a bit of presentable.

It felt weird actually having a conversation with someone either then my teachers, family members, or random people who push me in the hall.

A sacred moment happened where she closed her eyes and said,

"If you're quiet enough you can hear all the animals communicating. In my opinion birds are so beautiful. The way they sing to win a heart. Just stay quiet for a moment." She hushes.

I sit there and stay quiet. I watch her sit still with her eyes closed. I wonder what she was thinking about.

"Do you hear it?" She whispers.

"Yeah." I smile.

I don't know the least about her but all I saw in her was life.

Beauty.
