"Sky!" My mom yelled for me from down stairs. I placed my book on the edge of my bed and scampered to the living room.

"Yes mother." I sweetly smiled.

"I'm going food shopping with your sisters, do you want to come with?" She asks me with a fiddling seven year old pulling on her arm and an eleven year old impatiently tapping her foot.

"No it's fine." I laugh under my breath. I think I saved myself from a long and chaos trip to the daily super market.

I watch them leave the drive way and I raced to the outside for my bike.

I looked for the familiar small yellow house and knocked on the door excitedly. I waited patiently. The door swung open and I was trapped in a bear hug. I smiled deeply into the warming of pineapple hair and pink fuzzy socks.!

"Nice to see you too." I hug her tightly back.

She gets down and rushes into the house with me following behind her. We sit in her backyard on a hammock with lemonade and chocolate chip cookies.

"I'm always up at night just thinking." I close my eyes.

"Is that why you always have bags under your eyes? Get some sleep." She kicks my leg slightly giggling. I laugh along with her.

"Not as easy as you think." I open my eyes and see her just staring at me. She looks away quickly and grabs a cookie to stuff her mouth.

"What do you think about." The crumbs falling out of her mouth.

"I don't really know how to explain it. It's something new every day." I shrug.

We chat and laughed some more as the sun was going to set soon.

"Wanna go somewhere?" I look at her and I see her eyes twinkle.

"Yes." She almost flips us both out as she twist to get out the hammock.

"Then we shall go!" I struggle also.

"M'lady?" I reach my hand for her and she gladly takes it while laughing. A piece of hair fell in front of her face as I strongly wanted to place it away so I could see her smile better.

We walked around a bit till we came upon the woods. She tugged me back a bit.

"Sky I'm not very fond of the woods." She bit her upper lips, which I greatly wanted to kiss and tell her it's alright. I didn't do that of course.

"It's okay. Just squeeze my hand when you're getting scared and I'll take you back." I rubbed my hand on her shoulder for assurance. She nods and we start walking again.

We take a bunch of twist and turns and we come above a meadow. I remember me and my dad riding along here on a bike trail. I promised myself I'll visited again when I had the chance. Here's the chance.

She slips off her converse by a tree and runs into the wilderness of tall grass and weed looking flowers.

"Where are you going?" I tell to get her attention from far away. She looks back and starts to run back.

She's out of breath when she reaches me. She bent down wheezing for air.

"Need a ride?" I chuckle under my breath. She jumps on me as a response. She places her head on my shoulder blade and smiles.

I walked around the bike trial and there were wild flowers everywhere. I heard oos and awhs as we past it. She tell me to stop to take a picture every once and awhile. She jumped off my back and sat down on the grass bed. I sat next to her. She just looked at the sunset. She looked at it long and hard and small smile came upon her face. I wonder what it was.

It quickly got dark and I took her home. She couldn't stop talking about what she discovered and the pictures she took. I just whistled in silence listening about her deep passion. Mine was her.

That night I tossed and turned and I just thought. Not a lot came to me, but as I looked over my day I remembered one thing.

She never squeezed my hand.
