On Halloween the lessons went slower than normal. When the last lesson rolled round we were already shattered. After our potions lesson we made our way back to the common room before the feast. We decided to dress festively instead of wearing our plain old robes. Lexie decided to wear a cropped long sleeve black Lacey top with high waist shorts, she wore her hair down and black high top converses. I chose to wear my hair up in a messy bun no makeup a black jumper saying BOO! On it and white skinny jeans with little pumps. The boys just went casual jeans and a tshirt. Once we were all ready we made our way down to the great hall where the feast began.  Pumpkins floated round the hall and bats flew. Professor Mcgonagall sat on the high chair at the front of the hall.
The professors sat down together once the feast began. Golden plates filled with food and drinks and the festivities commenced! After about fifteen minutes the puddings arrived and we once again dug in.
As we neared the end of the feast the doors to the great hall burst open and in came Filch the caretaker. He ran to the high table over to Mcgonagall. The whole hall fell silent as he spoke to her. The rest of the teachers faces fell to the ground and Mcgonagall stood up. Filch left the hall and then she began to speak.
"Josh, Reece and Paige Thomas would you follow me please." She announced walking down the hall towards the great oak doors. The boys reluctantly stood and left followed by their sister.

When we arrived in the common room and Reece was the only person there. Noah and Kalem went running up stairs to the dormitories and Lexie followed. I stayed down and cautiously walked over to the fire into which Reece was staring.
"Reece?" I say with obvious concern.
He turns to face me, tears running down his rosy cheeks.
"Hey!" I say softly plumping my self down onto the couch beside him.
"It's, it's mum," he sniffles into my shoulder.
"She's, shes gone!" He says bursting into tears.
"Dad got home from work last night and the door had been forced open. He walked into the front room and mum was just laying there. The windows were smashed. It was dark wizardy."
"How do you know?" I ask sympathetically.
"The dark mark was conjured over our house and she had black marks were they had used the curse." He sobbed into my shoulder his body shaking furiously.
"Do you have to go home?" I say concerned for him and his family.
"Not yet, dad doesn't want us at home whilst he's sorting out the you know,"
"Yeah, yeah of course."
"The funeral is in the new year."
"It'll be okay you know, it'll get easier, I'll make sure of it." I say encouragingly.
He sits up his hands still on my back and mine on his face. I carefully wipe the tears from his face. His pouty lips, and swollen eyes making him look like a child who fell over in the playground. As I wipe his tears from his face he locks his pistachio eyes onto my blue eyes. He inches forward his hand slipping up my back bringing me closer to him. My hands slip round his neck as he pulls me closer. My heart started pounding out of my chest as he pulls me into a passionate embrace. Our lips lock together and soon the hole room is gone and we are the only people that matter.
