After war

Christmas is coming

Christmas is approaching and all over Hogwarts the spirit sets in. I however am miserable, for the first time in sixteen year I will not be spending Christmas with Reece or any of my friends, but with Justus. I was starting to feel like Justus was purposely driving me away from my friends and making me believe I was ill, but when ever I mentioned spending time with any of them and seeing if he would like to get to know them, he would shut me down. I daren't  mention any of them when I am with him. It's upsetting knowing that my boyfriend never wants to be a part of my closest friends lives. Lex tries to understand but I know it's so hard on her. I miss Reece, I still love him. I never haven't to be perfectly honest. I don't feel safe with Justus. Although his father, Neville is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet, Justus just doesn't take after him.

Later that day..

"Lex hey!" I run over to my bestfriend who I have missed so much.
"Hey Liza, how's Justus?"
"I honestly don't care. He makes me feel like crap. I'm fine now but he keeps playing it off as though I'm still ill and need help. How are you?"
"Well okay then, that was a bit of a load on. I'm fine."
"How's Reece?"
"Honestly he's awful. He hasn't left the dorm room unless he is forced out and he still sits in the common room going through the album you got each other first  year. He misses you."
Hearing that he feels the same way still is music to my ears.
"He does? That's such a relief! Please please do something for me!"
"What?"
"Tell him I still love him."
"You what?"
"I still love him, always have always will."
"But justus,"
"He's a terrible person and quite frankly the most boring person I have ever met in my entire life. Anyway, I've got to go please tell him, okay thanks bye!"
"Uh, bye?"

I stroll confidently into the great hall and a few faces turn to me. Justus, alex, Kaylum and Reece. Justus signals for me to come take the spare slot next to him. Alex gives me a stern look and I flow happily over to my usual seat at the Slytherin table, Reece smiles and I smile back, it feels amazing to be back with my friends.
Kaylum reaches out and gives my hand a gentle squeeze, since finding out about Scorpious' death and then finding out he was actually alive and abusing our brother, Kaylum and I have been distant, to say the least. Oh and the fact that my best friend broke his heart didn't really help with that. But having him back, seeing him happy, and to have him actually speak to me felt awesome.

"No more Justus?" Lex says to me raising a vindictive brow.
"No, no more Justus. I promise." I say turning and giving Reece a wide smile.
"Let's talk Christmas presents!"
