After war

The day after

I woke up in my bed, the happiest feeling in my stomach. I roll over to pull back the emerald curtains hung around my four poster bed. I swing my legs round and pick up the small diamanté ring and place it on my finger. I then bring my hand up to my chest and feel the gorgeous golden locket hanging still.

"Al, look what Reece gave me last night! He's so cute!" I turn round to face her bed, to my shock it was empty.

The bathroom door was shut so I immediately think she's gone in there to brush her teeth.
I knock on the door.
"Al?" No answer
"Al are you in there?" Still no answer.
I rattle the door knob, but it was locked.
"Alohomora." The door unlocks and slowly pushes in, opening slightly.
The sight that greeted me made me feel sick to my stomach.
"Al?" I say one more time to her clearly unconscious body.
She was on the floor most of her clothes hung by the sink. Her scars clearly visible. Mascara smudged under her closed eyes. He lipstick dragged down her chin. She was curled up in a ball. I continue to look around the bathroom and scream when I find a half naked guy in our shower.
"Yoooo, Alex what's wrong?" The guy says before opening his eyes.
"I'm not alex scum bag I'm her roommate who the frick are you?"
"Whoah! Oh my god I am sooo sorry! I'm uh..."
He was cut off by a groaning Alex.
"What the hell! Why am I flipping half naked! Where are my CLOTHES!" She says sitting up abruptly.
"They're in the sink remember,"
"Im going to get changed nobody leave here until I say you can." She says not turning round to greet us. She slowly stands and slides through the gap in the door and slams it behind her.
"What happened in here last night!"
"I, I'm sorry but she was very stressed out last night she was crying so I pulled her to the side and we talked we then snuck into the kitchens and she ate a bit too much cake and started to feel a bit sick so when we came up no one was in here and she vomed everywhere, all down herself and on me, so I took my top off and she took her cloak her shirt and her tie off and put them in the sink and then we sat talking until we fell asleep." He explains in a very calm voice.
"How come when I got in here last night I couldn't hear anyone?"
"We fell asleep at like eleven, nobody had come in then."
"Okay but can you get out I need to have a shower before lessons start."
"Oh yeah of course I'm so sorry." He makes his way to the door and starts to open it when a scream issues from my room.
"NO! STAY!" Alex yells at him he quickly shuts the door and sits in the floor whilst we wait for her to be done.

When we are finally released from the bathroom I make my way down to the hall for breakfast. My hair done up in a tightly pulled back ponytail and I applied a little bit of lip balm. Our O.W.Ls take place today, I very neatly push my tie up and do up my top button as I sit down next to Reece. I turn my head and kiss him lightly on the lips and then dig into my breakfast. Everyone stares at me whilst I shove my face with sugar covered porridge.
"What?" I say through a mouthful of porridge whilst they look at me.
"I'm hungry 'Kay!" I say pouring myself a glass of pumpkin juice and downing it in one.
"Right, bye babe, good luck today, love you." I say kissing him on the cheek and grabbing a slice of toast. I then exit the hall making my way to my first lesson.
