Lisbon's POV
I just got back from work and arrived home, when my phone went off.
"Hello".
"Hey babe, I was wondering if you would come on a nighttime walk with me?" Pike said.
"Yeah sure, just give me a few minutes to get ready".
"Ok, I will there in 10 minutes".
"Ok bye".
"Bye".
I got changed out of my work clothes and into some warm clothes and put my boots on. Just as I was finishing, Pike arrived.
"Hey, you ready," Pike said as he held his hand out".
"Yes let's go". I said as I grabbed his hand and led him out the door".
We walked around the park while chatting about whatever we could think of until we came near to a bench.
We sat down on it and he became quiet.
He started to fiddle about in his pocket.
"Are you ok?" I said.
"Yes, I'm fine. Teresa Lisbon I have loved you since the day I met you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you make me the happiest man alive by being my wife?" He said as he got down on one knee and held out a box with a plain silver ring inside.
I didn't know what to do. I love Pike but I also love Jane. I have known Jane for years now and I haven't know Pike for that long. I try to decide which one to choose.
Pike becomes restless and starts fidgeting with his fingers.
Pike is nice and kind but Jane is cute and we get along well.
In the end, I decide I want Jane.
"Pike I'm sorry but I am in love with someone else".
"It's ok Teresa, I understand," Pike says as he stands up and heads towards his house.
I run as fast as I can to my car and I drive straight to Jane's house.
When I arrive I knock on the door and he opens it. His hair is all messy and his eyes are drooping but he looks good all the same.
"Lisbon, why are you up so late," he says in a sleepy voice.
"I have something I need to tell you and I don't want it to wait any longer," I said quickly.
"Ok come in," he says as he guides me to the living room and we sit on the couch.
"So what do you so urgently need to tell me Lisbon".
"Jane I am in love with you. I have been since the day we met and I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier but I was afraid you didn't feel the same way" I said.
"Lisbon don't worry. I feel the same way" he said as he leant forward and kissed her quickly on the lips.
"But what about the CBI's rule".
"I don't care as long as I have got you," I said as I lent towards Jane and kissed him back.
He grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the bedroom.
He laid down on the bed and pulled me next to him. I layed my head on his chest. He pulled the covers over us and I started to drift into a peaceful sleep.
Just before I fully fell asleep I heard Jane says softly "Are you mine?"
And in reply I said "yes Jane, I am yours".
Then we fell asleep and didn't even get woken the next morning.
