•Chapter 24•

Harry

I looked towards the large house across the road from where I had parked the car. This was the address that we found under the Anderson brothers file in the warehouse. Violet must be here. She has to be.

I jumped out of the car, gun securely in hand, as the others attempted to keep up with my fast pace.

"Harry! Harry slow down" Liam called for me, his voice strained but calm in order to avoid attention. I didn't slow my pace.

"Liam and Louis wait at the car! The other 3 of you come with me" I shouted back to the boys, Niall quickly running to my side.

I pulled myself over the high fence that surrounded the property, remaining careful not to draw too much attention to myself. The moon was our only light as we snuck through the front garden area and towards the house.

"What's the plan?" Michael nudged my side as we walked.

"Quick as possible. In and out with Violet" I kept my eyes forward and focused "you take out anyone in the way. Leave Violet to me" Michael nodded at me as we reached the front of the house.

"On 3" I leaned against the front door "one, two, three" on three I thrust my shoulder into the door causing it to crack and open forcefully. I immediately lifted my gun and began scanning the room. My eye brows furrowed when I saw that the area was clear and quiet. There was no one in here.

"The fuck?" Niall whispered beside me. I shrugged back at him, equally confused at the atmosphere. I moved towards the hall way before Zayn grabbed my arm, pulling me back.

"Don't you think this is suspicious? I mean this place should be crawling with guards" he frowned "I have a really bad feeing Harry"

"so do I but I have to get Violet" I stated before pulling away from him and continuing down the hall.

I opened the door of the first room I came to, disappointed to find it empty. I continued down the corridor, searching every room with hope until I came to the last door on the left. I slowly opened it, my movements quickening when familiar blonde hair entered my sight.

My breath hitched when I looked at her. She was handcuffed to a chair, her wrists bloody and red. Her head was hung low causing her hair to fall messily In front of her face. I rushed towards her, kneeling on the floor in front of the chair.

"Violet, baby" I lifted my hands to her face, allowing me to see her properly. Her face was paler than usual making her look washed out and drained. Her eyes fluttered open slowly, her blue orbs studying my face.

"H..Harry" her voice was weak and strained

"I'm here. I'm gonna get you out of here ok?" I caressed her cheek to wipe the few tears that remained on her skin.

I turned my attention down to her wrists and the tight handcuffs restraining them. She winced as I fiddled with the metal attempting to find away to free her. I lifted my gun and moved her arm out in order to get a better shot at the chain.

"Violet stay still for me ok? Don't move" she mumbled a quiet ok in response.

I aimed my gun at the chain, being careful to make sure Violet was out of the way. I pulled the trigger, the bullet hitting the chain and breaking it. Unfortunately, the wrist cuffs would have to stay until I got her home. I reached out to take her in my arms and lift her, cautious not to cause her anymore pain.

"T..Thank you for saving me" she leaned into my neck as I held her

"Of course I was gonna save you baby" I smiled weakly down at her

I swiftly exited the room and headed back towards the entrance hall. Niall smiled when he saw Violet in my arms, alerting Michael and Zayn as he did.

"Right now let's get out of here" Michael said firmly earning a nod from me. Just as we were about to exit, clapping sounded from behind us. I tuned sharply to see Matt and Jace stood on the stairs, Jace smirking and clapping towards us. A few more men entered through the hall way, guns held firmly in their hands.

"Swift rescue styles" Jace approached us "very impressive" he finished. I let Violet down, nudging her behind me as I did.

"I'm going to fucking kill you" I hissed at them both

"We were just borrowing her" Matt held his hands up, a sinister smirk sitting on his lips. "You can have her back now, I think Jace is a bit bored with her"

I felt my blood boil at his words. How fucking dare they.

"If you touched her I swear to god I'm going to slaughter you" I could feel my anger building inside.

"Can you really blame me? I mean look at her. That fucking arse.. How could I resist" Jace laughed pushing me over the edge.

I lifted my gun and shot towards them both. Everyone pulled out their weapons as we positioned ourselves behind a wooden counter. I turned to make sure Violet was out of harms way, sighing in relief when I saw her still leaning on Niall, shock in her eyes.

Shots were fired back and forth, a few hitting the wood causing it to break away in pieces.

"Get Violet out now!" I shouted at Niall before turning back to shoot

Violet
I leant on Niall, still finding it hard to hold up my own weight. It was like everything was in fast motion, the bullets cascading through the air and hitting the wall behind me.

"Get Violet out now!" Harry shouted back at the boys. Niall grabbed my arm but I pulled against his force with all my strength.

"No I'm not leaving him!" I shouted at Niall

"Violet for fucks sake Go Now!" Harry shouted at me, his tone frantic and firm.

"No!" I continued to pull against Niall's strength, my muscles aching as I did. Niall eventually overpowered me, dragging me backwards towards the door. My eyes didn't leave Harry as I watched him continue to shoot towards the men in front of him. Just as Niall got me out of the shattered door, a deep groan caught both of our attention.

I looked up towards the sound, my heart speeding as I did. My mouth widened as I watched Harry fall backwards to the floor, a dark red stain quickly spreading on his white T-shirt.
