Violet

"There's a ball" Michael sputtered out as soon as me and Harry entered the study.

"Excuse me?" Harry frowned, clearly just as confused as I was.

"I've been doing my digging into the I.O.P.C and I found a source who claims to know of the organization" Michael smiled, clearly proud of himself

"And?" I prompted him

"And my source said that he doesn't know much about it but he knows that a friend of his is attending a masquerade ball for the I.O.P.C" he finished. This was the biggest lead we had into the mystery organization and could be the key to ending all of this, including the texts.

"So everyone from the organization will be there?" Michael nodded at my question "Including the Anderson's and the Boss?" He nodded once again at my last suggestion, his eyes lit with focus.

"When is it?" Zayn turned to Michael

"The 22nd of November" Michael read his notes as I began attempting to work out how long we had, then shock struck me

"7 days?!?" I almost shouted across the desk. It seemed so soon, how could we be ready for something as big as that in just 7 days. However, everyone ignored my shock as they clearly weren't as shaken as me.

"So we go there and we figure this shit out so we can end it all together" Harry concluded as he patted Michael's back as a form of praise.

"Great" I smiled as Harry turned to face me, his eye brows raised in question.

"You're not going Violet" he emphasized the 'You're' as he scoffed at the suggestion. If he thinks he's pushing me out of this, he has another thing coming.

"How many times do we have to do his Harry? I will be fine and I'm going" I brushed him off as he began to laugh

"Vi I'm serious, I lost you once and I don't plan on doing it again. Plus how do you expect to be able to defend yourself if we get separated? " his voice grew stern as he glared down at me. Before I could argue back, Louis jumped in to the conversation.

"I think Violet should come" he said cautiously, almost afraid of Harry's reaction.

"What?" Harry's tone was laced with shock as he looked over towards Louis.

"Mate I mean this is about her so I don't see how you can really stop her" Louis shrugged before looking over at me, a soft smile on his lips.

"I don't want-"

"I agree with Lou, she should be able to get involved" Niall interrupted Harry, clearly taking him by surprise as his arms rose tightly across his chest.

"So it's settled. She's coming" Michael smiled over at me as Harry stuttered and mumbled in protest.

"One thing I do agree with Harry on is the self defense issue. If it gets messy and one of us isn't there to protect you, you need to know how to fight for yourself" Liam changed the topic of conversation, his face serious and stern.

"Ok, so how?" I questioned.

"Fight training. I'll start teaching you over the time until the ball, that should be enough time to get you ready" Harry studied my face as he spoke, almost as if he was attempting to reassure himself that I would be prepared. I didn't even trust myself to be ready for the ball, 7 days to learn how to fight didn't sound too appealing to me.

"Ok so it's settled then" I sighed "when do we get started?" I asked Harry

"Now" he jumped up from his place against the wall before reaching out and pulling me up and towards the door. He sent me upstairs to change into more athletic clothes before dragging me into the garden to begin our lesson.
