Violet

"If only you knew who you were sleeping with"

I read the message over and over again whilst I was sat in the study alone. I had never seen the phone before and the number the text came from was blocked. I hadn't told Harry about it, purely because I needed to understand it for myself first. I knew they were trying to turn me against Harry but I didn't know what they could possibly hold against him that I wasn't already aware of ?

My thoughts were interrupted when the door swung open to reveal Niall. I quickly pushed the phone under the desk, ensuring that he wouldn't see it.

"You ok?" He frowned over at me

"Why wouldn't I be?" The smile that I plastered on was clearly fake and I could tell that Niall knew it.

"Well that's bullshit" he laughed "what's wrong?"

I didn't even know the answer for myself so how could I ever come to explain it to him?

"Just tired that's all" I brushed his concern off in hopes that he would drop it. To my luck he did.

"Ok, well Harry wants to see you upstairs" he w smiled weakly at me  before leaving once again.

I sighed as I slipped the phone under my shirt and into the back pocket of my jeans. My eye Browns furrowed when I noticed that the silver photo frame I had seen earlier in the month was now absent from the shelf, where did it go? I pushed the topic away as I headed upstairs to find Harry.

As I was walking towards our bedroom, a voice forced me to snap my head around across the hall

"Violet" Harry smirked as he nodded me over towards him. He was in a shirt I hadn't seen before that seemed rough and old, however, somehow he still managed to look mesmerizing in it.

"What are you doing over her?" I asked as I approached him. He was leaning in a doorway to a room that I hadn't been in before.

"I've got a surprise for you" he continued to smile. I looked at him unsure, his famous smirk putting me on edge.

"Come on you'll love it" he pulled me through the door way, closing it quietly behind him.

The room was small and plain but it's what sat in the middle that really caught my eye. A canvas frame stood surrounded by paints, chalks and materials. Numerous canvasses were leant against the wall, in all different shapes and sizes. "How did you know?" I smiled as I examined the art supplies

"Of course I knew" he rolled his eyes and pulled my towards the frame. I simply looked at him with raised eyebrows and a questionable look.

"Ok so maybe Michael did a little digging in to your schooling choices for me " he smirked causing me to laugh

"I thought you'd like a break from everything that's going on" he leant back against the wall smoothly as he continued to admire my shock and happiness.

"This is great Harry, thank you" I smiled, my features holding real sincerity. Art was my passion and always had been but obviously, with the recent events, it had taken a back seat in my life. Despite the excitement of the art supplies,  I couldn't help think that there were more important matters at hand.

"But what about the I.O.-" Harry stopped me mid sentence

"No" he shook his head "that kind of talk is banned this afternoon" he smirked as he settled properly against the wall.

Harry looked at me expectantly "well go on" he pushed

"Are you gonna stare like that the whole time?" I laughed at his constant gaze

He coughed, pulling himself off the wall and towards a stereo in the corner of the room. He pushed a button and music began to fill the air around me, making the small room seem much more vibrant. I rolled up my sleeves as I reached for a medium sized canvas and some paints. Usually the art would come naturally to me, though I wasn't sure if i still worked that way. Surely enough though, when the brush hit the canvas it was like my senses took over and I knew what to do without really trying.

Harry stayed the whole time, watching me mix and direct the paint onto the canvas in great concentration.

"How do you do it?" He asked from across the room.

"Well you just picture what you want to create and then-"

"No" he stopped me "I mean how do you do that" he gestured up and down my body causing me to laugh slightly

"I just don't understand how one person can be so pure and hypnotizing" he tilted his head as he continued to look me up and down.

"I'm just me that's all" I brushed off his non sense. I wasn't special or 'hypnotizing' I mean I could barely hold eye contact with someone for more than a few seconds.

"Yeah.. That's what I mean" he smiled softly, a hint of a smirk still showing through his dimples.

Afternoon turned to night and me and Harry still remained in the small room, though now it was much dimmer, the only light being from the candles  that Harry had lit. He stood leaning against the wall, a cigarette between his lips as he gazed over at my movements.

"You're an angel" he broke the silence, his voice soft and cautious.

"Hmm?" I turned to him properly for the first time in hours. He didn't respond but simply kept his gaze upon my face, his eyes studying me intently.

"That has to be the only conclusion" he continued. I wasn't sure of what to say back as no one has ever spoken to me in this way before. He pushed himself forwards off the wall until he was just inches away from me. His hands fell to my hips as he pulled me against his body and held me there securely. He lifted one of his hands to grab his cigarette out of his mouth before he blew the smoke out against my lips allowing it to fill my senses. His lips moved so they were brushing mine as he passed on the toxic air into my lungs.

He kept the cigarette held low in his hand as his lips gently met mine. This kiss was different to any we had shared before, it seemed desperate and loving, it was like he was afraid I was going to disappear  into thin air before his eyes. He pulled away slowly before resting his forehead against my own. His green eyes pierced into my own blue ones as he continued to study my features. He turned away for  a moment towards the canvas, though I remained completely still.

He smiled slightly, a soft, knowing laugh escaping his lips. I looked over at the canvas with him and studied my creation. I had painted him, though I hadn't been aware of it at the time. The green eyes made it clear that it was him as they held a  damaged and slightly intimidating tone to them.

Harry looked back down at me, our eyes meeting once again.

"I don't want to break you" he said in a firm yet gently voice

"Then don't" I returned before he leaned back in to kiss me once again.

A feeling of complete contempt over came me as I continued to kiss him. However, this feeling was ripped away when I felt the phone vibrate in my back pocket.
