Adrien POV:
Today is Christmas Eve, it's been four months since Alya and Nino got married, around the middle of August. They announced yesterday that Alya is pregnant and has been for the past eight weeks so the babyis supposed to be born around New Years.
"Hey dude I have to discuss something with you." Nino says walking up to me as I sit on the couch in Marinette and I's new house.
"Yeah sure." I say moving over so Nino could sit down.
"Well do you remember the deal we made when we were kids?" Nino asked me sounding a little...nervous? Why was he so nervous?
"No, why?" I asked wanting to know. I font have a very good memory when it comes to my childhood.
"Well we made a deal to if I win you would give me $100 and if you win you would get to do something special." Nino says looking down twiddling his thumbs.
"And?" I asked still not sure what the bet was.
"You won." Nino says like it meant everything in the world to him.
"What do I get to do?" I ask suspiciously.
"You get to name our first child." Nino said making me gasp. "I talked to Alya and she wasn't happy at first but then I explained what the bet was about. And she trusts you to choose wisely."
"Seriously dude, wow what an honor." I say as I dive deep into thought. Tiffany? No. Matilda? No, ew. Will? No. Connor? No. Serenity? No. "How about for a girl, Lila and for a boy, Ryan."
"Not too shabby, cool dude." Nino says slapping my back and walking out of the room. I stand up walking to the doorway leading into the kitchen.
I look around me and see Christmas spirit filling our new house with all of the decorations. Nino, Alya, Marinette, and I were all wearing Santa hats Marinette had made. I lean against the doorframe looking in at Marinette's parents cooking the turkey for tomorrow.
I then felt small arms wrap around my waist giving me a soft hug. I pull Marinette from behind me so we were both standing in the doorway looking at each other.
"Mistletoe!" Alya says excitedly pointing above our heads on the door frame. We both look up at the little plant above our heads then back into each other's eyes. She grabs my shirt pulling me into a loving kiss. When we pull out of the kiss we turn to see Marinette's parents and Alya ginning at us. Nino was just sitting at the table playing with a fork being bored.
We walked into the kitchen further, arm in arm. "It smells..." Marinette was saying until she took a big smell of the air wincing said it hurt to smell it. "Delicious." She says finishing her sentence and laughing nervously. I look up to see Alya staring at Mari with her mouth open and her eyes bulging.
"We need to talk..." Alya says sternly walking up to Mari. "Now!" She says a little louder in order to stop Mar's whining. She grabbed her and pulled her into another room. What was that about?
Marinette POV:
As Alya pulled me into a spare bedroom I look back to see him giving me a confused look. I give him a reassuring smile as Alya closes the door behind us.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Alya demands crossing her arms and tapping her foot.
"What do you me?" I asked a little confused of what I didn't tell her.
"Don't play dumb with me. Your pregnant, for crying out loud! How long?" Alya says loudly but not loud enough for the others to hear.
"Oh." I say a little shocked that she found out.
"Yeah, 'Oh'. Now, how long?" Alya demanded.
"About a three weeks." I say looking down at my feet nervously.
"Come on girl, I told you I was pregnant before Nino even knew. Have you told Adrien?" She asks me calming down a little to which I shook my head 'No'. "Ok, when do you plan to tell him?"
"Um...on New Year." I say looking up at her trough my eyelashes. "At the top of the Eiffel Tower right as the fireworks go off."
"Awe! How romantic!" Alya says sweetly and gives me a hug. "You will be the best mom ever!"
"Thanks Alya. So do you know if yours is a boy or a girl?" I ask simple as she puts her hands on her stomach and rubs it.
"I want it to be a surprise. But did you know that Adrien is naming our child because a old bet Nino and Adrien made as kids?" Alya said and I shook my head a little shocked. "Yeah he chose, Lila, for a girl and, Ryan, for a boy."
"Awe!" I coo at the adorable names my loving husband chose for their child.
"Do you know what your is?" Alya asked curiously looking down at my not yet prominent stomach.
"It's a girl." I say simply to which Alya squeals.
"What are you going to name it?" Alya asks a question I have asked myself and answered before.
"Jamie." I say with a smile on my face.
"It's beautiful, I bet she'll be as kind as her mom." Alya says elbowing me in the side making be giggle.
"How did you find out?" I ask a question that has been running through my head.
"When you winced at the smell of the food. I had the same reaction every time I smelled food." Alya said chuckling softly. She grabbed my hand and we walked out of the bedroom slowly to enter the kitchen once again. While everyone still in there just stared at us.
"What was that all about?" Adrien asked once I walked up to him giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"Just some simple...girl talk."I say giggling at the blush that grew on Adrien's cheeks. Even though we are married and older he still acts like a young kid in high school.
"Ok everyone as tradition we open one present on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas." My mom says walking past us into our living room. Adrien cheers looking as happy as a kid on well...Christmas! Since his dad normally never celebrated Christmas or any holidays he didn't get many presents. This year his father went to America for a fashion show.
Adrien didn't care that his father wasn't there. This is the first Christmas in a long time that he was surrounded by people who actually love him. And I do absolutely love him with all of my heart. I just can't wait till New Years when he finally finds out we are having a child.
