Chapter 6:
"Her memories were starting to unleash in a torrent... They came to life like a great beast roused from the depths of an enticing slumber as she was engulfed in this bittersweet trance. Someone, though, played an important part in triggering these... Was that person a part of her past life? Was that person... Erik?"

"Dear Diary,
Today is probably a very important day of my life, because I think that some of my memories are returning to me!
This is what happened: The men from Twilight Ogre waylaid me early this morning and then, an unknown man stepped in and saved me. What intrigues me is the fact that when I saw him, it was like I had experienced this before.
My memories betray me, Diary, but when I consult them, I know that they hold similar events in my past. Do you think I can recover my rememberance, Diary? I want to know... So many things!
I also need to tell you: the man who saved me was the deadly bandit that I told you every body in town was talking of... Can you believe this, Diary? Can you believe that I actually met him?
I would definitely have considered it to be an unfortunate thing, but the man was very... I don't know, Diary. He seemed nothing like a bandit to me. He saved me. And if that wasn't enough, I had a strange urge to stay with him!
The gravity that he commanded over me, I was very obliged to yield to. With that one deed, It feels as if he had unlocked many deep chambers of my distant memories...
He makes me wonder what Erik would be like. I wonder, Diary. I wonder if there would be a day when I'll finally see him! To hear everything of our past from him.
But what if we never meet? What if he doesn't know me? What if he is no more? What if my 'Erik' never was? Was only an alluring illusion that I have so shamefuly yielded to?
But I have trusted this notion far too much, now, to be able to accept it as any false hope and still live to see the next day... I have lost all hope and am desperate. I have a strange, yet strong urge to meet the man, Cobra and to... I honestly don't know, Diary!
There is so much going on and now, I seem to losing the ability to think as one who is privileged with sanity. I'm driven to no end! Things beyond my comprehension are flooding my mind and I must rest, Diary... So I shall write to you later.
Lovingly,
Kinana."

Kinana closed the book and placed it away, wiping the heavy drops of sweat on her face. Her mind was trying to focus on many things at once in desperate wishes to regain a past whose proof had fled from her 7 painful years ago.
Then she gave up, for staring into nothing only claimed her stability. Her body perspired intensly, paying no respect to the biting cold outside, for the vexation she was undergoing was far more demanding.
She slowly exhaled and walked over to her windows. She reached her hand out to pull the curtains to eachother just as her eye caught something.
A man stood across the street, partially visible, eclipsed by the dark shadows. She couldn't tell if he saw her, although it looked like he had. But the thought of any man having seen her at this hour sent tremours down her body.
She quickly pulled the curtains before being seen. She stepped away and looked down at herself: a knee-length, sleeveless night gown with a 'V' neck and frilly laces was not the garment a woman would want anyone to see her in.
Pushing away unnecessary thoughts, she perched herself on her bed. She whispered her prayers and braced herself. She had no intensions to yield to slumber for it's nightmares always scared her...
But there was no other means to rid herself of the fatigue that the day had bestowed upon her fragile shoulders. Ofcourse, she had no time to choose whether she wanted to sleep or not, for the last thing she would be conscious of would be laying down and hearing the voice that speaks to her every night...

Cobra smoothly landed, his long cape sashaying behind him. Kinana had grown so much and just watching her all day was satisfying.
But he was far greedier than that. He knew she was his. The wild fluctuations of dizzy confusion that the dear girl had undergone had reached him.
They had, in fact, beckoned his presence. Now, he found her window a very convenient entrance, guarded by a pair of defenceless curtains. He liked her room. It smelt of her and looked rather cozy. It was nice. Except one thing: Kinana. She was excellent.
She'd grown into a woman now, but inside, she was still the same little baby he loved and protected. The cute way in which she used to talk had always claimed his breath; The way in which she cried had always pierced him through.
The way she cared for him had always warmed him; And her every '-kina' had always made his day. Her smiles had made his heart skip a beat and her laughter had made his heart race.
He'd always thought of her to be his and his alone. He would never give her up for anything. Now, even her change in appearance intrigued him. It entertained him that she made him feel so poetic. He was Cobra. He felt anything but!
Tossing his head to one side, his hand combing through his maroon hair, he considered the bliss of being in love; one thing that surpassed the thrills of an onslaught or the pleasure of watching his opponents suffer.
He watched the her sleeping like a child, purple hair sprayed over her forehead, soft features and rosy cheeks and lips. One thing bothered him: The worries that troubled her unconscious being, showing itself through the creases on the forehead and furrowed brows.
He felt her tension as she shuffled in her sleep. He walked over, knelt down by her bed, his face only inches away from hers, his mouth close to her ears as he whispered, "Good Night, Kinana. I won't leave you."
Those words seemed to vanquish the agitation and a slight smile embraced her rosy lips. Then she mumbled something that disabled his heart's ability to pulse. And he tried to swallow the knot that lodged in his chest.
Then he arose to his feet, the thoughts of her troubled mind reaching him.
