Chapter 10:
"As much as he never forgave himself, locking away every hint of happiness, there was only one desire he purposed to grant himself: the pleasure of having Erza Scarlet; the one person whose absence had made a splitting difference in his life, whose presence helped him gather those broken pieces; whose silence had him wondering, whose words rendered him speechless."

Sea Shores,
Magnolia, Fiore. She'd told him to live; not just exist... So why would he hold back an opportunity that would give him the time of his life?
The soft evening breezes played with his blue hair as he walked towards the shore that fading tides surrendered to before withdrawal, where a certain gorgeous young lady stood.
The wind about her whipped her hair around as his eyes caught a magneficent shade of scarlet.
Scarlet...
The very colour triggered memories... memories that were born in the Tower. He tried to dispell the painful reminiscence, but the pangs of guilt still stabbed his grieving heart.
They made him reconsider the idea of meeting the damsel standing in a distance. How could he meet her eyes and live with himself after witnessing the pain he could have caused her?
He had broken her many times before... Now, it didn't matter even if she would trust him with her heart; for he wouldn't trust himself.
But there was something he was aware of... He knew Erza loved him. And he loved her too. Too much for his own good...
He stopped and looked at her: a beautiful, young lady that he had always wanted to have, standing by the waters, the ground behind her bearing her trail of steady footprints.
He watched as she embraced herself and he knew, she was burdened. He felt responsible for her fall... and he purposed to be the reason for her rise.
He knew much more about Erza than anybody else... where anyone could see a warrior, he saw the tender girl of compassion; where anyone could see an armour, he saw the curtains that concealed a shattered heart...
He walked closer to the lonely damsel, his stride unaware to her. Scarlet hair brushed his face softly as he bent slowly, his lips close to her ears as he whispered: "Erza..."
He heard her soft gasp and smiled. She turned around with wide eyes evincing surprise, and he couldn't help but notice the blush that dusted her cheeks.
"Jellal", was all that she could whisper. He smiled at her, feeling like he was reliving the good times that they had shared together...
He could tell that it took much of her strength to keep from shedding tears, judging from her glazed eyes. And then, it was as if the dykes had broken; she burried her face in his chest and her tears started flowing, unrestrained.
He enveloped her in his strong embrace and waited for her. He was heartened at the thought that she was comortable with him... Comfortable enough to shed tears she controlled in the presence of any else.
When she would put up the facade of a strong conquerer before everybody and grant herself the liberty of letting her walls fall in his presence, he was wise enough to infer that there was a difference. Hearing her sniffles, he whispered to her, what he thought she needed to hear.
He watched her as she lifted her head and rested a side of her cheek on him, her palms rested on his biceps. The smile on her tear-stained face was blissful!
