"Uhm Sanyukta?" Randhir knocked at her room, not getting a single response to his call.
"Sanyuk..." His gulped up his words as she opened the door with a jerk, hitting him in the process.
"Oh shit..." Sanyukta jumped towards him as he moved few steps behind clutching his nose.
"You.." She heard his angry muffle, still clutching his hurt nose.
"Shit.. Shit.. Did it hurt bad? M so sorry.. Lemme.. Shit.. Lemme just see..." She held onto his shoulders guiding him till the couch and settling him there. She pulled her hands away which were clutching his nose. She saw his nose turn a bit red due to the jerk. She rubbed the tip with her hands and he was busy gawking at her worried face. His heart fluttered as he knew that this concern was only for HIM. For HIM. HER concern for HIM. His heart leaped a beat!
"Sanyukta..." He felt his hand not any more in his control as it went up till her face, moving few locks scattered over her face before tucking them behind her ear.
Sanyukta shivered at the mere contact of their skin. What has gotten into her?"I don't know why I m feeling such attraction towards you since the night we kissed.." The words weaved up in his mind, were blurted out by his stupid mouth! Stupid stupid mouth? He couldn't believe his own words! Like how even? He can't look into her eyes! Hell he was embarrased! What made him spit that out? He always had that power of controlling his brain and actions but what spell has this girl sitting inches away cast onto him?
Sanyukta shot up her head towards him instantly. Her facial expression depicting shock and amusement at the same time! What did he just say? Or rather, blurted out? She was shocked, stunned! Baffled! How on the freaking mother earth?
Oh well. What was she even supposed to retort at THAT? Oh god he looked so cute while confessing!"I...um.." He moved away and made a huge distance between them. Her shocked expression, then, was scaring the heck out of him. What was the need to confess like that? He groaned internally, sitting on the edge of the couch, looking straight.
Here Sanyukta was too shocked to react. Several thoughts were hopping in her mind. Did she hear correct? Did he just confess his attraction towards her? Was it true and here she was thinking herself to be the only victim of puberty hormones!"I am sorry.. I didn't mean to..." Randhir tried to speak amidst the absurd silence.
"To blurt that out..." Sanyukta added with an expressionless face. He looked up to her as she spoke.
"Yes.. Noh.. I mean.." He tried to cover up. Only he knew how many times he had killed his inner sense at that particular moment. Still he fell short of words. He scratched the back of his head and ran his finger through his hairs. Hell! How nervous he was!
Sanyukta kept looking at him with an expressionless face while he kept on stealing glances at her through the corner of his eyes.
"I think you should leave... It's already quite late..." Finding no other option to mend the weird situation, Sanyukta looked upto the clock.
Haaaaahhh! He thanked her a million times for saving him from the further embarrasments that his mouth and heart can cause at that particular moment!
"Yeah.. Exactly..." He stood up from the couch, taking his bag along, not looking at her eye-to-eye. How would he even?
"Oh.. I forgot to tell you.." He turned back from his tracks.
"Hhhmm?" She looked up from her feet.
"We have to go for the team meeting tomorrow morning... Father has called up everyone... I guess you didn't take a glance at your cell. He asked me to tell you..." He spoke softly.
"Oh.. Okay..." Sanyukta stood up from the couch and walked towards him. He turned back and kept walking towards the main door until he heard her calling him out from behind.
He turned back that instant.
"Umm.. I guess we should exchange our numbers.." Never in her life Sanyukta thought to be so polite towards him.
"Oh yes.. Definitely..." Oh Was he excited? Hell boy! He was! His eyes gleamed at the proposal.
Sanyukta was a bit baffled at his sudden excitement just on the name of number exchange. This boy had surely gone nuts! She sighed inwardly.
After exchanging numbers, Randhir took an exit from her apartment not before passing her a strange and unusual smile, leaving Sanyukta yet more puzzled!
