"I meant.. It wasn't supposed to mean in that way.. I was implying to practice.. We have treasure hunt too.. So I guess we should start working on it.. Never mind.. I'll just be off now..." He completed his explanation and turned his gaze towards the front glass, feeling embarrassed.
Sanyukta almost felt her heart explode while he exclaimed those words and sighed in relief when he interpreted the actual meaning.
"No.." She spoke out suddenly.
"You can.. You can drop in for tonight.." She bit her lower lip while her eyes matched his amused pair of orbs.
"We can utilize the opportunity..." She quoted his previous 'accidentally slipped' out words and sighed while he face palmed mentally.
They were standing on the elevator when Sanyukta experienced yet another shock of her life.
"You look beautiful tonight.." He exclaimed out of nothing which made her yank her neck up in surprise, to match his gaze. He immediately looked away feeling his cheeks burning. Dafaq? Why on the earth was he flushing on complimenting a girl? After a prolonged silence, as the elevator door slid open, he heard her muttering a soft thanks and saw her walking out quickly and he followed her with a smile.
Sanyukta had locked herself up in the room from the past fifteen minutes and Randhir was almost finding it utterly irritating, laying down on the couch, still in his party drapes and was flipping the magazine pages trying to read something out of it. Mind, he was 'trying' to read. His eyes were switching from the door to the magazine page on regular intervals. Either the room was burning horrendously or he was high on heat. He felt the immediate need to discard off the heavy jacket, his tee shirt and roam half naked, if only it could lessen the heat. But the idea would have seemed to work better if he was in his own mansion. He couldn't really stroll around half naked in her house, in the midnight now, could he? It was frigging eleven in the night and her tiny hall's temperature was perfect for a nice hot barbeque. He face palmed yet again. Oh why was it always that his heart caused the ultimate blunder at a 'good-happy-ending'? The heat inside was getting unbearable for him in that heavy jacket and the electric fan wasnt enough for a rich brat like him who had always been under the cooling air conditioner. So he thought to let go his inhibitions and threw off the jacket and tee shirt off his, body albeit keeping the vest on , he wasn't that shameless. He flung open the window and stood by it. The cold breeze of the night was something really helpful. He sighed in relief. The curtains swayed against his hard chiseled abs as he leaned onto the window pane. His mind drifted towards the new avatar of Sanyukta he had seen that night. Her aura was so lady-like, so alluring. It took him all his self control, to not to pin her to the car and snog her senselessly.
A sound made him jolt out of his 'snogging-Sanyukta' trance. He turned his head behind and saw Sanyukta, in her usual shorts and 'Tweety' baggy tee shirt coming out of her room while knotting her tresses into a messy bun. The sight was equally alluring as the previous sight of which he was thinking of and flushing constantly. Why on the earth did she appear such attractive over everything she wore? It wasn't like he didn't like her in her usual way. Heck! It undeniably turned him err... On. Perhaps he found her more cuter in those baggies and shorts. Okay? He just admitted that he liked her! Hell? He did? Well it would be a disgraceful thing for him to not to admit that HE HAD ACTUALLY GROWN TO LIKE HER! On a note, after all those 'moments' and all those happenings, it wasn't rocket science for him to figure out what his heart was wrenching for. Hola! He just did realise! He was actually going insane, the reason was HER!
"What are you playing at Shekhawat?" Sanyukta scowled at him while snapping her fingers in front of his face.
"Na.. Nathing..." He smirked playfully eyeing her frame from top to bottom.
"It's hot here..." He flashed a sly smile after checking her frame out completely.
"Shooo.. Move away..." Randhir was just going to mouth something when Sanyukta all of a sudden pushed him back and plunged towards the window.
"How come you be such 'mosquito resistant' Shekhawat?" She snapped closing the window with a thud.
"Wha..What?" Randhir was bewildered.
"I was just feeling hot... Your house is a sauna itself..." He snorted walking towards the couch and slopping on it with a bounce."Why the fuck are you roaming half naked in my apartment Shekhawat?" Randhir rolled his eyes and arched his back on the couch when he heard her bellowing horrendously.
"Stop complaining Sanyukta... And please buy a hearing aid for yourself... I already stated that I was feeling hot so I just peeled off to be comfortable..." He jammed his eyes into the book and answered mockingly.
"And please.. You have a daily practice of ogling at my 'half-naked' body during the swim sessions" he added as his lips curved into a playful smirk.
"Also, I have my vest on. Now that doesn't make me practically naked.." He pulled his left brow up looking at her.
"Whatever..." She spat uninterestingly while her heart was leaping beats. Was he doing that on purpose? The nerve of that boy. She snorted.
"Don't..." She screamed and plunged to save her laptop from getting into hands.
"What the hell Aggarwal?" He scowled pulling the laptop out of her hold.
"Anything but this..." She bellowed warningly.
"What an idiot...!" Randhir nodded his head to and fro in a hopeless manner.
"We need to research you fool..." He tried to pull the laptop again and she fell on the couch beside him due to the jerk.
"Do whatever research on your bloody phone.." She crunched her nose in annoyance while he rolled his eyes.
"What secret have you kept hidden in that?" He was clearly irritated.
"None of your concern..." She spat before walking back to her room with the laptop in her hold. His eyes wee stuck to her hips which swayed rhythmically as she walked away. He gulped at his perverted thought before curling his lips up in a sly smirk. This was going to be fun in any way.
