His fingertips brushed mine and we watched the dotted stars under the fluorescent beaming light of the full moon.

The overlaying sounds of waves crashing against the long since eroded beach, played like a peaceful melody to the thrumming beat of our hearts.

Little grains of sand were caught up in our hair that was knotted in tendrils of snares, sticking with the last fine drops of salty sea water that clung.

Merging with the hot summer wind that seemed to caress the planes of our back like a soft feather, the feeling of a thousand butterflies swarmed in my stomach as his callused, large hand enveloped in mine sent a shot of warmth through me, a caffeine shot to my already fast-paced heart.

The memory had been playing over and over in my mind, a broken and endless repeat of last summer, the last memory i had of him before it all went terribly wrong.
