6. Hospital

The Doctor told us that Frank will probably sleep for the next three days and that Ryan gave him a mixture of morphene and sleeping pills or something.
He also said that Frank was lucky that we managed to get him out of there when we did.
I'm glad that he's only asleep and not dead, but we have a problem, because we have to go back to New York tomorrow and I'll get in trouble if I don't take him back. I'm pretty sure I'm already in trouble, because Frank was my responsibility and he almost died.

Mikey and I had to go home but we refused to, so the doctor said we could stay.
They called the school/clinic in New York to tell what happened and the principal said we were able to stay in Jersey until Frank was able to go back.
But who knows when this is going to happen?

"I'm going to talk to Johnnie, see you later," Mikey says standing up from the chair beside me; he kisses the top of my head before leaving the room.
Let's just hope Ryan doesn't find him and kidnap him again.

What do I do, now that my brother's gone?
Frank won't wake up anytime soon and I have to be here when he does wake up.
"Gerard... Is that you?" A female voice behind me questions and I turn around to see Lindsay at the door "Lyn-Z, what are you doing here?" I question standing up and giving her a hug "Aren't you supposed to be in collage?" I add "I have a long weekend and came to see everyone," she says letting go of me.
"I heard they put you in the clinic in New York," she adds a little unsure. "Yea, they did, but it's okay... I have an extended weekend too, I was supposed to go back tomorrow, but after what happened we can stay a little longer," I respond.

Just so you know, Lindsay is my older cousin, she goes to University in Chicago and I haven't seen her in months.

"So... Who's the pretty boy?" She questions sitting down on one of the chairs and motioning to Frank. "That's my friend, Frank Iero," I respond sitting beside her. "He looks cute," she says and I blush slightly because I think he's very cute and not because I have a crush on him. There's no way I have a crush on that adorable boy.
"What happened to him?" Lindsay asks interrupting my thoughts "He was injected with a mixture of morphene and sleeping pills or something," I respond and she gives me a look that says 'Did he try to kill himself?' I look at her wide eyed "No, No... he didn't do it himself, he... This guy Ryan kidnapped Mikey and we went to look for him, when we finally found him, Ryan tied us up and attached an IV bag with the mixture to Frank's arm," I explain and her face shows a sign or relief before turning into shock "Mikey was kidnapped? Are you okay?" She asks panic and concern audible in her voice.
"I'm fine, Mikey's fine, he's paying Johnnie a visit right now... I'm just worried about Frank, he was pretty close to death and if we didn't get him away from the IV when we did, he would be dead," I say and she parts my shoulder in a understanding manner.

"So... Do you like him?" Lindsay questions after a while "Yea, he's my friend," I say not able to look at her "Just a friend huh," she says looking at me suspiciously "Yes, just a friend," I repeat looking back at her with... wait is that an uncertained tone in my voice?
What the hell is wrong with me? "Gee has a crush," Lindsay says with an amused look on her face "Urgh... shut up Lyn-Z," I say annoyed with my cheeks slightly tinted pink.
"It's okay Gee, I had crushes too, you know," she says wrapping one arm around me.

"Gee?" A small voice calls and I open my eyes to see Frank looking back at me with his Hazel-green eyes I stand up from the chair - waking up Lindsay - and rushing towards him "Hey Frankie, are you okay?" I question and Lindsay stands up too "Where's Mikey? Is he okay? Are you okay? How did we get out?" Frank questions panicking a little "We're fine... We got you out of the building," I respond and he visibly calms down. "Mikey is at Johnnie's," I add and Frank shoots me a look "You let him go by himself?" He says raising his voice a little "Ryan could be waiting for him there," he adds.

"He wasn't," Mikey turning up out of nowhere "Mikes,"Lindsay chimes flinging herself towards brother. "Lyn-Z!"Mikey chimes back "Who is she?" Frank half-whispers "That's our cousin Lindsay," I while Mikey and Lindsay chat a little.

"What did Johnnie say?" I question after a while "He said he would take a look around the area and see if he finds anything that helps us catch Ryan," Mikey explains and I just nod my head "He's long gone by now," Frank says from his spot on the bed and we look at him "I don't think he is, I mean... He's a 'hunter' right?" Mikey says earning a nod from the younger boy "Why would a hunter leave it's 'pray' behind?" He questions "You're probably right, he was going to kill us that day, but we escaped and he's looking for us," Frank says "He could even be in this hospital right now," he adds before turning to the door.
I use my chameleon ability to match with my surroundings before waking out of the room.
I take a look around and I almost bump into someone, when I look at the person, I see a chop off blonde hair behind him and I panic.
When the person with the blonde mop of hair turns around, I rush back to Frank's room "Ryan is here," I inform turning back into my old self.
I help Frank stand up and turn him, Mikey and myself 'invisible' with my chameleon ability and I tell Lindsay to get into the bed.
Ryan's blue eyes peek into the room, just as Lyn-Z pulls the covers over her neck. We can hear Ryan groaning from the other side before his blue eyes disappear from the door, but we keep quiet for a while longer just to make sure that he doesn't hear us.

Once we're sure that Ryan's really gone, I go back to normal and help Frank get back to bed.
"It was nice meeting you Frank... I'll see you guys around, I have to go home," Lindsay says before hugging us goodbye and cautiously walking out of the room.

The three of us spend the rest of the day just taking nonsense and Frank and Mikey catch up on things.
