11's POV

After a while, I was just sitting there, like I was some sort of corpse. Linda was completely ignoring me as Near tried to include me in the conversation, but Linda only pulled him closer to herself. I stared at the monitors in boredom as I wasn't able to speak aloud and say my own feelings.

Because I could tell in the way that Near was talking to her, he was slowly starting to forget about me without a care in the world.

Dream 1: Near betrayed me

I thought in my mind as I found myself noticing that Linda had a plane ticket in her hand.

"So, you will be going soon?" Near asked as Linda nodded. They both stood up as Linda gave Near a tight hug as I saw his face turn gradually blue.

"I'll miss you, Near. I'll say hi to Roger for you!" Linda exclaimed as it took about 20 seconds for them to break out of the hug. Linda waved at Near as she started to walk off. However, she stopped at the door. "One more thing, Near. Before I go," Linda said and ran up to Near and immediately...

"I'm done with the dishes, Ne-" Halle cut herself off when she saw the two kissed and stood there in shock, like the rest of the SPK including Matsuda.

A bad feeling burned inside me as my heart throbbed by beating faster and faster, showing that I had a feeling of sudden envy inside me. After five seconds, they broke free.

"Linda..," Near said in shock as Linda giggled, handing him a piece of paper.

"I won't be able to communicate with you if you didn't have my number! Okay, I'll see you later," Linda said and left for sure.

Halle had her hands over her mouth, Gevanni dropped a cup of coffee, Rester was cleaning up after him, and Matsuda seemed to be fanboying silently about some sort of drama thing. I just stood there, dumbfounded.

"N-Near, is she-" Gevanni asked as Near quickly cut him off in annoyance.

"No. And I don't like her back. That idiot...she never watched over her actions. Everyone, get back to work. Matsuda, in the mean time, keep watch on the outside of the SPK building," Near said.

I felt him suddenly grab my hand as he started to run. My eyes widened in shock as I blushed red in embarrassment. "H-Hey! What are you-" I was cut off as Near was yelling to the SPK so that they could hear him.

"Don't think of following!" Near exclaimed as we were outside, by the small flower shop that was nearby the SPK building. I noticed that he didn't let go of my hand just yet.

"11... I never wanted her to be my first kiss. I told you already, I'm not making L's mistake," Near said as my expression softened as I nodded and shyly smiled.

"I know," I told him.

"But, there is one girl...that I did want, to be my first kiss," he said loud and clear. I nodded again and smiled.

"Whoever it is, I'm happy," I told him and slightly loosened my hand from his grip. I started to almost walk away when I felt a tug on my arm and I was facing Near who was one centimeter close to my face as he looked slightly, flustered?

"It's you!" He blurted out.

I didn't even have time to think as he slowly started to press his lips against mine softly and gently.

My eyes were wide open in shock as my cheeks flared up into a bright shade of red. My eyelids all of a sudden grew heavy as I closed my eyes and slowly started to gradual kiss back. It was my first kiss, so I was confused on what to do.

But the kiss, almost felt magical in my eyes. I mean, yes, I've been waiting for once from one of those fairy tale movies I knew would never come true, but I still chose to believe in them. The kiss, felt almost exactly like that. Like an exact replica of a fairy tale.

After about 20 seconds, we eventually broke free from the kiss as he held both of my hands. Almost looking, like a changed Near. He showed more emotions instead of his usual modest expression. I found myself blushing.

"W-Well...," I stuttered and turned into a mess. He just lightly chuckled at me and smiled.

"I've been waiting four years to actually admit my feelings. I didn't want to make L's mistake, but I chose to go my own path," Near said and kissed the top of my nose. "I've always wondered why humans needed love and thought it was just friendship this whole time. But, it can be more than that," Near said.

We both stood there in silence, with hand in hand. I was surprised that I was the one who broke the silence.

"Maybe, we should work on the investigation now?" I asked Near. He nodded as he let go of my hands as we faced the ground, hands in our pockets while I was flushing red, Near was back to being modest.

When we got back to headquarters, Near was his normal self as he gave me papers I. Different languages to decode.

Every once in a while, he glanced at me as butterflies were fluttering around in my stomach. I tried my best to act natural so the SPK and the Japanese task force won't think anything suspicious is going on. And Matsuda, even though he's an idiot, he's always suspicious with this kind of stuff.

After de-coding about, 20 papers and writing them down in English and Japanese, I gave them to Near as I sat there, going on my phone and typed "11" over again and started wondering.

"Are we actually...a thing..?" I thought in my mind. I felt my phone beep when I got a message from Near. I scanned the area to make sure that no one would be behind me when I read it.
