11's POV

"Relax, 11," Halle said while driving, her eyes trained onto the road. "He faked that he was hurt."

My eyes widened as I stared at the blood in my hands. I took a quick whiff from it and gagged. "Ugh," I exclaimed in disgust.

"Near was wearing something bulletproof. However, they were aiming for you with their gun, as I saw on the satellite. He had put pig's blood on it just to make everything look like he was actually shot," Halle said as I nodded and sighed in relief.

When we got back to the headquarters, I immediately went to the bathroom to wash off the blood from my hands and saw that Near was fine, as he flashed a quick smile at me.

"The evidence proves that those two weren't the bodyguards of Amane. Most likely it's the Mafia members. They may have aimed for 11 for a reason," Near said and sat back on his seat, putting his feet on the table.

"I checked, that the Mafia wasn't on the satellite," Halle said as Near put up one of his index fingers, looking at the monitors, as he pointed at the hideout.

"They're located underground, which is our camera's weakness. They must have an underground system or shot an angle of our satellites," Near said and turned on the monitor. "This proves my point," Near said as the satellite was facing in a different angle of the place and crackled.

"The angle is enough for them to escape. After, Lidner must have turned the satellite, some of the crackling remained and we sent Gevanni to find it, having a bullet in it's rear," Near said, holding a bullet in his left hand.

"It was similar to the same bullet they attempted to shoot me with," Near said, showing an identical bullet that he was holding with his right hand, stained in blood. "And after a thorough examination, I saw that they were the same brand on it along with the same number, indicating that the same person that shot the satellite had attempted to shoot me."

Near handed both to Rester as he continued to look at the monitors with a bored expression on his face.

"Until 6, Lidner will keep watch and will immediately keep the satellite in it's position. Gevanni, prepare the camera for me to install in Amane's room. Rester, keep watch of the monitors with Lidner," Near said and took out his puzzle, sitting on the floor and doing it.

"11," he said, before I walked off. I turned to look at him as he threw a small white box at me as I luckily caught it. "Open it when you get to your room. It has to do with the investigation," Near said as I nodded, walking into my room.

I sat on my bed cross-legged and slightly opened the box to find a piece of paper and a note written on the roof of the box.

Death Note Paper: Be Cautious

It also had an arrow pointing down to the piece of paper. My eyes widened as I saw that there was a piece from the death note. And if you saw it, you could see a Shinigami.

I wasn't ready to touch it yet, so I saw that there was another piece of paper that was taped to the roof along with the the note. It was folded as I saw that it was another note.

If you are reading this please touch the piece of paper while in the limo. The Shinigami may not appear when you do even when arriving at Amane's house. However, touch the piece of paper just incase.

I sighed and closed the box, taking off my shades and kept my cap on. I went out of my room as I opened the door and I could hear the SPK converse while I was behind the wall, knowing that Near will eventually find me eavesdropping.

"There were reports of someone in Winchester, England, being kidnapped," Rester said as I heard a quick sound of a paper. "She seemed to look like the police sketch woman that works for the British police."

"Hm..," I heard Near say as I heard a piece of paper being picked up. "Her name is Linda, from the orphanage."

"So, this could relate to the current situation we're in. If on the phone you said that just you and Linda were left, then Linda had to have been kidnapped because of you saying this," Halle said.

"If so, there are much more left than just us, three," Near said as I could hear more puzzle pieces clicking in the background of their conversation.

"K, F, D, P, Q, G, I, E, R, V, T, and J."

I heard a few of them gasp in shock. I remembered all of those kids. And out of all of them I was on the bottom of all. I bit my lip and continued to listen to the conversation.

"We can't do anything about that since we're all the way in Japan. However, I've sent messages to every single one of them. I believe that some are close to England, when I had their addresses," Near said as the clicking of puzzles stopped. I assumed that he finished it.

"So, there is no special reason on why you're protecting 11?" Gevanni asked as all of a sudden I was silent. I decided to keep on eavesdropping on their conversation.

"Actually, there is. I figured out and even asked Watari once what was it special with 11. It was what was in her eyes. Not those of a Shinigami's but much different. She had photographic memory. Almost everything she sees, she can easily remember everything about it. Not just that, but her eyes can read from 10 miles."

My eyes widened as I noticed that. I was able to read "Light Yagami" that wasn't close to the four graves we had at all.

"So, would you consider her being in the SPK along with the detectives from the Japanese Police Task Force?" Halle asked as it was another pause.

"Yes, she's already a member. The Japanese Task Force should come here any moment. Kanzo Mogi, Touta Matsuda, Shuichi Aizawa," Near said as there was a long pause.

"11, you don't need to hide I know you're behind the wall," Near said.

"How?!" I exclaimed and walked forward, as Near just smiled at me.

"It seems you heard our whole conversation. If so, read this aloud," Near said and held up a piece of paper with the tiniest print as possible.

Somehow, it wasn't difficult for me.

"L do you know? The Shinigami love apples."

Everything was silent, the SPK members stared at me in shock, Near just kept his modest face on.

"Like I said. The print was also in Russian, a language she never learned and she translated it perfectly," Near said and threw the piece of paper in the trash can.

"It's about 5:30, the Japanese Task Force is here."
