Chapter 6
Jena's pov
School was great. It took a lot for me to not kiss Dani when I wanted but there weren't any openly gay kids in school except for Mike Hardy and he always got picked on. what would they do to us if they found out what we were? I was not going to put her through that. she looked confident enough to tell the world but just the thought of getting bullied and pushed around everyday was enough to put me in panic mode. It scared me so bad.

Later at home I got a text from Dani.
{hey babe I was wondering if you could come over and meet my parents.}
{sure baby. I'll be over in a few} I put my phone down and looked in the dresser mirror to make sure I was presentable. I was ok. I tapped a finger on the wood surface. I picked up my brush and ran it through my hair. I made sure none of my makeup had run and cleaned it up. what would they think of me? how would they act? would they even give me a chance? all these questions started invading my thoughts. I thought about texting her to cancel but I decided against it and left.
The drive to her house was short so I didn't have much time to figure out how to present myself to my girlfriend's parents. What if they were completely against gays? I pulled into the driveway and waited for a moment. When I walked up to the door I paused before knocking then lightly I proceeded. Dani answered with a big smile. Damn I was nervous. she pulled me inside and kissed me. I smiled a little.
"I'm ready to meet them" I half whispered half announced.
"ok come on." she grabbed my hand and pulled me to what i guessed was the livingroom. she looked really excited. It was cute.
"why are you so happy?"
"because I love you and now my parents get to love you too." as she said that they walked in. I realized we were still holding hands and tried to pull away but she squeezed tighter. "Mom, Dad, this is Jena. My girlfriend!" I froze at the word and watched their faces.
"I thought I told you to not seduce this one." her dad smiled. "Its nice to finally meet you Jena. ever since the first day if school she's been going on about this amazingly beatiful girl in her class."
"She hasn't shut up about you yet." her mom had an equally welcoming smile. "Why don't you stay for dinner. I made spaghetti!" I had nothing to worry about her parents were great. they welcomed me with open arms and here I was scared they'd push me away.
"I'd love to stay." we walked into the dinning area and the food smelled really good. we sat down to eat and her dad started up a conversation.
"So Jena how long have you been gay?"
"Oh as long as I can remember. I've never had a thing for guys really. They don't exactly spike my interest. I hadn't come out to anyone before Dani and that was only because she came out to me first." I looked over at Dani and she smiled at me. She had a little bit of sauce on the corner of her mouth. I wiped it off with my thumb.
"I was saving that for later." I laughed at her I'm glad she wanted me to meet them. It just showed how much she wants me in her life.
I ended up staying over. I texted my mom letting her know where I was, she texted back saying to have fun. we stayed up for a little bit talking and laughing. we fell asleep holding eachother.
