I got to school early today to see if i could find my friends before the bell. As soon as I walk up to the front of the building Nathan picks me up and kisses me "hey beautiful." He says I ruffle his hair.r
"Hey babe" I say smiling.

Me and Nathan started dating around Christmas last year. He's been my best friend forever but I've never really been that interested in him because every month, or so it seems, he's with a new girl. He had been going out with some girl I didn't really know for about two months or so then they broke up. He took it really hard so to cheer him up we went to the carnival that was in town. We had a great time. We got to my place and went up to my room to play COD. I got a huge kill streak then died "just my luck" I said in a huff. "Don't worry about it babe, it's just a game." Babe? Why on earth was he calling me babe? Out of nowhere he starts kissing me. "I've had a really great time, Jen. Thanks." "Anytime" there I was still trying to process everything when he kissed me again. "Maybe you should get going." He looked upset and left. Great. Now I'm the bad guy. Later on Facebook he messages me telling me he was sorry for coming onto me like that. I told him it was fine, which was a lie. Then he asked me out for Friday. I said ok. And our relationship had started.

-present day-

"So what are your classes?" He asked curiously?

"First I have physical science, then math, PE, and last US history. You?"

"Math, chemistry, weight training, and I end the day with you in US history." He smiled. I smiled back but it was forced. Of course I loved him he was like a brother but I had to tell him some time. When though? Just then Sierra and Bree walked up and the bell rang. I gave them hugs and went off to find my class. I unfolded my schedule room 201. Alright second floor. When I walked into my class I quickly found my name at the back corner and sat down I looked to see what the person's name would be sitting next to me. there wasn't one.

The bell rang and everyone was pretty much already here. A few were late because of trouble finding the class. When everyone was settled down enough for the teacher to start talking she introduced herself as Ms. Cons. She had us all stand and say our name one at a time and something we did for fun. We got half way through the third row and a guidance counselor walked in with the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. She was about 5'3" with longish black hair. She was wearing a cute gray and navy-blue striped dress with navy-blue converse. The guidance counselor whispered something to the teacher. And Ms. Cons told the girl to sit next to me. I froze. She started walking down the rows to her seat. She sat down and looked at the board. I decided to say something. "Hi, I'm Jena." She looked at me and smiled. It was beautiful.

"Danielle, Dani. Nice to meet you. I just moved here."

"Oh so you're new. That's cool" I had no idea what to say I bet I sounded like an idiot.

"Yeah. I'm from Maine. My family travels a lot but I think we're settling here. It seems nice and quiet." She was so friendly, and so cute.

"I've lived here my whole life."

"That's cool." She smiled again. She had dimples. It was adorable. The counselor left and Ms. Cons continued with the names. When Dani stood up I could tell she was shy "Danielle Johnson, but you can call me Dani."

"Alright, and what do you do for fun Dani?"

"I like to listen to music and draw." She smiled and sat down.

I stood up "Jena Monroe. I love to watch movies and skateboard." I sat down and glanced of over at Dani. She was drawing something but I couldn't see because her arm was covering most of it.

"Ok everyone get your phones out and set them on the corner of your desk. That way if one goes off I will know exactly which one to take. There will be absolutely no texting in my class." Every one did as she said and she went over more rules. The bell rang for second period and I asked Dani what class she had next.

"Math in room 137" I knew I had math next but I wasn't sure where it wast at to I peeked at my schedule. Room 137. I cheered inside

"Hey, we've got the same class. I help you find it."

"Cool. I need a tour guide." We went down the stairs and walked down a hall. I heard my name being called and to my dismay it was Nathan.

"Hey, babe. Having a good day?" He looked so happy talking to me. How am I supposed to let him go?

"It's great." I remembered Dani "oh! Nathan, this is Dani. Dani, Nathan, my boyfriend."

"Nice to meet you Dani. I gotta get to class Jen but I'll see you at lunch. Ok?"

"Ok." He kissed me quickly and left.

"He seems nice. You two are cute."

"I'm not really all that into him, he's more of a brother to me. I've known him forever it seems." We walked in just as the late bell rang. We didn't see any tags on the desks so we picked two right next to each other. The teacher walked in and she seemed nice enough, pretty young. She had the same standards as our last teacher so everyone's phone was on their desk. Maybe it was a new policy.

Class ended and I walked with dani to get lunch and we sat outside under the trees. Nathan was right behind us and sat down with us. It wasn't too long before Sierra and Bree showed up. Sierra eyed Dani.

"Who's the new girl?" I was about to speak up but Dani interrupted me.

"I'm Dani. Me and Jena have the same schedule, it's kinda neat." I smiled. I had a new friend.

The rest of the day wasn't much I was glad Dani was in my classes. I never knew someone could be so beautiful and as nice as she was. As I walked out to my car I said goodbye to Dani and she kept walking I figure she was going to her own car. I was kinda frustrated because during fourth, all Nathan did was send me notes and talk to me. I wasn't paying attention to him though. I was too busy thinking about the new girl. I started up my car and pulled out of the parking lot. I noticed Dani was walking home I rolled down the window.

"Need a lift?" She looked surprised at my offer.

"I think I'm good."

"Get in. I'll take you home." She got in and said thanks. We rode in silence for a few minutes. "So if you don't like Nathan why don't dump him?" I looked at her and shrugged.

"I don't know. I really don't want to hurt him. He's really a great guy. He's got everything a girl likes. Perfect body, perfect hair perfect smile. I've just really never thought of him that way. I've been wanting to end It for a while now but every time I'm about to he looks at me and I just can't do it." I looked at her again, then at the road.

"Sounds like you're chicken. Turn here."

"I am not chicken!" We started laughing and she pointed me to her house. "See you tomorrow." And she left.
