Heaven

Chapter 3

Today we are having auditions for the roles that we signed up for. I'm very nervous. Although, I've always been a good actor, I have slip-ups once in awhile. I'm just really hoping that this isn't going to be one of my slip-ups. It's also hard to focus when Michael will probably get one of the lead roles as Seth. The reason for this is the fact that there is a chance that Julie Sanders could get the part as Gentre. And I really don't want her to get that part and possible end up getting Michael back.

"Emma," Mrs. Vasquez said, "It's your turn."

"Right." I said, glancing at Michael as I stepped into the empty classroom.

After the auditions were over, everyone was worried about whether or not they got the parts they wanted. Mrs. Vasquez announced earlier that, "The results will be posted outside the auditorium. Feel free to come backstage to get a copy of the schedule and script."

After my last period, which was volleyball, I went to go see what my results were. At first I thought I was just imagining it, but I closed my eyes and re-opened them. Michael and I had gotten the lead roles as Seth and Gentre! I was so happy. I went inside the auditorium to get my schedule and my script. I was about to walk out when I heard Michael call my name from behind me. 'Michael! Oh my gosh! Why did he want to talk to me? Oh. Maybe he was coming to tell me that he regretted the kiss and that it can't happen again. I mean, that's what always happens in the movies.'

"Hey Michael!" I said, hiding my nervousness, "What's up?"

"I have a question for you." he said, turning red. 'Phew! Okay. This could be okay. Um, he's blushing right? He's hopefully not getting angry... Ugh. I hope this isn't as bad as I think it is.'

"Okay. What's your question?"I asked casually.

"I don't know where to start. Um," he said turning around in a full circle, "I really like you, Emma."

"You do?" I asked, wholeheartedly.

"Yeah. Listen," he said, "Do you want to go out with me? I mean you don't have t-"

"Yes, I will." I said, blushing.

"Okay," he said, "I'll call you."

"Okay." I said.

"Bye." he said, leaving.

"Bye." I said quietly.

"Oh Wait!" he said turning around, "Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yeah. I thought you'd never ask." I said, blushing.

Then, He gave me the best hug that I have ever had in my life. After he pulled away, he stared into my eyes for awhile. And, he -very unexpectedly, as I might add- kissed me. I broke the kiss. It lasted for about 20 seconds.

"I love you, Michael." I whispered.

"I love you too, Emma." he whispered into my ear as he hugged me, "and I always will."
