Running From Time (One Direction FanFic)

Friday, June 29th, 2013. This was it, the last day of my last year in high school and I couldn't be happier. This was the last day until my two friends Nikki and Skylar head off too the beautiful beaches in California for the summer. Complete freedom. No parents, no teachers, no little sisters. Just the two people I care about most.

I peel myself out of bed and rub my eyes. I was not a morning person. I drag myself to the bathroom and manage to have awoken myself to brush my teeth and comb my hair. After that I went back to my room and choose an outfit to wear. Since it was the last day of school I chose a short high low sleeveless white dress, with buttons down till the middle of the dress and a black collar. I pull my hair back into a ponytail and clip my fringes back. I apply a small amount of mascara and an even smaller amount of cherry lipgloss. I wasn't a make up person either.

Soon after I got a call on my cell phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey Liz! It's finally here!! The last day! I'm so excited for tomorrow!" Skylar said into the phone and I smile while pulling on my black leather boots. (Not real leather of course)

"I know I'm excited too!" I said

"I know why wouldn't you be! Anyways I was just wondering if you needed a ride? Im picking up Nik too"

"Yeah that'd be great! Give me like 10 minutes."

"Okay. See you soon!"

"Bye" and with that I hung up.

I grab my black Jansport backpack and run down the stairs. My grandma was already up and cooking breakfast

"Morning Granny" I say placing a kiss on her cheek.

"Morning sweet heart want some eggs?" She asked and I nodded putting some bread in the toaster and setting the timer.

"So today's finally the day. I can't believe you've grown up so fast." My grandma said smiling and I couldn't help but smile with her.

"Granny, you know Ill never grow up" I said and she laughed.

"That's for sure. So what did Ryan say to the break up?" Granny asked and poured some of the scrambled eggs onto a plate and put the toast on the side and placed it in front of me.

"Ugh Granny we talked about this. We will not discuss boys unless we're talking about one direction" I said and she laughed.

"Which are the only males if rather not talk about"

"Hay they are PER- FECT" I said snapping my fingers and she shook her head.

"Obsessions are not healthy dear."

"Im not obsessed! I just really love them!" I defended myself.

"And stalking them isn't healthy either"

"It's not stalking, it's intense research on certain individuals"

"You have an answer to everything don't you?" She asked raising an eyebrow.

"Of course I do" I said smiling cheekily and she rolled her eyes.

After I finished breakfast there was a loud honking coming from outside, obviously Skylar.

"That's me. Love you Granny bye" I said kissing her cheek again and she handed me my bag. I waved as I headed out the door and into Skylars car. The car that her parents gave her for her 16th birthday. Her parents are kind of awesome.

"Morning" I said as I took a seat beside Nikki.

"Liz great please explain to her why Ed Sheeran is perfect" Skylar said pointing at Nikki.
