Verb conjugation:
In Deutsch, the verb endings change based on the person they are referring to.
Follow this schema. The highlighted endings are what you add to the root of each verb in the present tense. The root is any verb without the 'n' or 'en'.
ich-e
du-st
er/sie/es-t
wir-en (just like the infinitive form of the verb)
ihr-t
sie/Sie-en (just like wir)
Remove the 'n' or 'en' of the verb and add the above endings!
Deshalb (des-halb, never desh-alb!)-therefore-let's conjugate your first verb!
Heißen-to call oneself (remove 'en'-heiß+)
ich heiße
du heißt (why add another 's' to ß? So it's not heißst, or it would sound ugly. A bit irregular, I know)
er/sie/es heißt
wir heißen-just like the verb!
ihr heißt
Sie/sie heißen-just like wir!
Let's conjugate one more verb together, then it's your turn! (Du bist dran! Your turn!)
Kommen-to come
ich komme
du kommst
er/sie/es kommt
wir kommen
ihr kommt
sie/Sie kommen
