In der Lektion von Heute (in today's lesson-remembering that the 'v' is usually pronounced as though it were an 'f', and -tion, like -tsy-ohn), we're going to learn about how to say what we work as and how to ask it. That way you can build up your own dialogues :)

***************************************************************

What do you work as?

Was sind Sie von Beruf? (be-ROOF)

(the) Work-die Arbeit (f.)

I'm a...

Ich bin... without the article a/an.

I'm a student-Ich bin Student. (shdoo-DENT)

However, just like most European languages, there usually exists a feminine form to each noun.

Student (shdoo-DENT) becomes Studentin (shdoo-DEN-tin). Just add -in to most feminine forms of each noun!

Ich bin Handelsvertreter-I'm a sales representative.

Ich bin HandelsverTREterin-" "

Studying... studieren (only if you're at University)

What are you studying?

Was studierst du?

I study...

Ich studiere...

Languages-Sprachen (Latein, Spanisch, Französisch, Italienisch, Deutsch etc.)

ODER (OR)

I'm kind of ill today so I won't providing you with as much material as I normally would... sorry :(
