Long time ago in Colima, a man named James W. Marshall who saw something shiny in Sutter Creek near Coloma in January 24, 1848. He had dicovered gold unepexedly while he was overseen from building an sawmill. So he ran with a cup with one pice of gold and yell "I found gold, I found gold". And all the people from California belive it. So all men went to the water and find gold in the water by using a bowl by taking water and dirt. Many people found lots of gold.but the women were working for cleaning and making food. And California grew lots of people because of gold.
