     Why are the Amendments important from the constitution is important you ask? Well, we did explain some details about the 27 Amendments from the constitution, and what are some of the Amendments like, Freedom of speech, the right to bear arms, to end slavery, the African Americans part of the citizens of the United States and that are born too. And let them have the right to vote. These amendments and other Amendments are important to protect us, to give us rights, and to change the problem that is causing in the United States. Like for example, the 18th amendment. It was proposed on December 18, 1917. It was written to prohibit alcohol in the United States because alcohol was a problem for the people. Like the abuse of alcohol, the transportation of alcohol, sale for alcohol, crime, corruption, solve social problems, and improve health in America. But it was ratified on January 16, 1919. Did you guys know that only the first 10 amendments are called "The Bill of Rights"? It guarantees civil rights and liberties to the individual, for example, freedom of speech, press, and religion. It sets rules for due process of law and reserves all powers not delegated to the Federal Government to the people of the States. Some amendments from the constitution are the women suffrage(19th amendment), terms of the president and congress(20th AMendment) the Ratification of alcohol(21st amendment) Proposed on feburary20 1933, and ratified on December 5th, 1933, etc. Other amendments are explained about the terms for the president, taxes, suffrage is the district of Columbia, presidential disability and succession, suffrage for 18-year-olds, and congress salaries. It is important to make these amendments to make America better and giving the rights to the American citizens, also protection for the citizens and for liberty. The 11th amendment is lawsuits against states and the 12th amendment is the election of the president and vice president. The 12th amendment gave us the right to vote for our president and vice president of the United States.
