Chapter 34: The pros and cons of presidential history and the election

If we want a president, we have to vote for who we want to be our president to be elected as a president. It takes a lot of work to become a president and I can tell you how the presidents were elected. The way you look and how you are with shaking hands, giving a good speech, something that the president does to change things, primaries and causes, national conventions, general elections and then the electoral college. There are many more steps to become the president of the United States. Sometimes, during the election, some president makes some mistakes that will end their career. Like when they are not at the national conventions, they might accidentally say something that they didn't mean to. And the people saw that on tv. They could get mad and never select that president anymore and select another president. Even so, if we already had a president, some presidents could make bad decisions or did something that could end up annoying the mobs (the citizens of the United States). That president could end up getting impeached and have to leave the office for the new president to come in.  The best way to stay as a president. It is best to keep the citizens happy, keep making good speeches that people like to hear, try to make America great, never lie about what happened. Because during Vietnam in the 1970s, the president had lied about how Vietnam was. He told the citizens that we are winning the war, but basically, we weren't and we were losing so many casualties of our soldiers that are fighting out there at war. So many citizens were mad because the president lied about the war, and where they kept sending more people into the military and fight for Vietnam. The protested ended when the workers that work as a newspaper and publisher published the truth about the Vietnam war. All the people were happy that the workers had ended the lies of the president and now knowing the truth about Vietnam.
