Falling for about 30 seconds wasn't the best of choices, but to be fair, when I look back at it, falling down this pit was fun.
Anyways, when I saw light below me, my first thought was, Well, that's it folks! I'm good as dead! But upon notice, the air whipping around me seemed to slow down a bit. As I'm falling towards the light, I go straight from falling to floating. Eventually I just stop when I'm in the light, and seeing I can't walk in mid-air, I awkwardly swam towards a hallway.
I walk down the hallway to find a gigantic room. There where tons of shelves filled with those scientist-potion-containers-kind-of-thingy. I kinda bumped into a sign that I assumed wasn't that important, but I read it anyway. The sign said:
Welcome to the Ability Room
Hello, newcomer! We are proud to have you on deck of Uranus. This is the ability room. Here, you can choose your artificial abilities. As you can see, there are hundreds of containers. Each container is labeled with their given power. If you can't choose just two powers, you can go to the way back of the room to find Wild Card. Wild Card is a potion that will give you random powers, just to clarify, those random powers are any of the powers from the other shelves.
Once you get the two artificial powers you want, press the button underneath each bottle, bring the containers with you back to this sign, and once we recognize you, the signal will send a worker to help you with your powers. The worker should be named Bjorn Nightingale. If that's not the worker's name, get the worker to step before this sign, and if the recognition doesn't recognize the worker, we will send help to you immediately.
Good luck and have a nice picking!
Okay, so all I have to do is pick my powers that are somehow put into container thingies, go back here in front of this sign, and wait for someone named Bjorn something. Sounds easy enough. But the hard part is picking my abilities. I guess I'll just go through them and see which one seems to pull me.
>----A Few Moments Later---<
How. Many. Damned. Bottles. Are. There!? I've been walking around for at least 15 minutes, and there is still more. How am I supposed to choose anything from these? I guess I really didn't understand Gjerta's definition of 'so many options.' Maybe she could've rephrased it as 'gigantic amount of options' or 'there are so many options, it could take years to choose just two.'
But, whatever. So far, one of them was named power copy. I assumed it would be an ability that gives me the power to copy my opponents abilities, so it's really a bingo. I just need to look for the other one. Just as I thought I found it, it really was my friendship bond I had with my best friend since we were born, and his name Elwood Rockwell, or as I like to call him, El.
"El? Is that you?" I said as I recognized his somewhat messy black hair. He was playing with his earring, which was usual for him when he was nervous or scared.
"Zan?"
"How is it doing, bud?" I say to greet him and give him a hug.
"Everything is fine now that you're with me. Damn, I swear don't you ever leave again."
"Yeah, yeah, get over it. I'm here now." And to clarify, we hate to leave each other because we literally did everything together since we got out of the hospital. Our families were great friends, and our ancestors have been great friends, so it's normal for us to be friendly with each other.
"So, you got anything so far?" I ask, since I assumed he knows pretty much what's going on.
"Yeah, I got the lunar/solar strength. I'm pretty sure it's for times when I'm fighting in the sun or moon. You?"
