(Just google translate what the title means if you don't get it.)
Hanz was walking in front of the squad, who were walking in a loose formation on each side of the road. After a couple of minutes of walking up the street Hanz held his hand up for the rest to stop. They took cover behind some debris or just lied down if there was none. A few seconds later a truck drove by, and by the looks of it Polish. Soon enough they were all firing into the truck, piercing the glass of the driver seat and the thin canopy draped over the back. Before long the truck was stopped and blood was flowing out the back and some leaking out the driver door. The door flew open, and a Pole fell to the ground, but he wasn't dressed in any military uniform. The squad was confused, but Alfred took action and ran towards the truck, looked in the back, then gasped. The rest soon followed to find it full of men, women, and even children, all dead, bleeding, and gored. Frank and Werner quickly took care of the now sobbing Michel, who was clearly horrified by the scene he just witnessed. Hedwig just simply scoffed at Michel. "Its always the weak ones who break first." He said with disdain in his voice. Hanz was also recovering silently. Hanz always had the strength to witness the scenes of war, but he felt guilty for shooting down unarmed innocent civilians. He was sitting on a piece of flat building that fell off during the shelling. Ralph sat by him.
"So... What do you make of that?" Ralph said with a bit of regret in his voice.
"Ungodly." Hanz simply said, not feeling in the talking mood. Ralph quickly received the message and walked towards to give orders for them to move on. Ralph and Hanz always had a unspoken bond, being brothers and all. Anyways, Hanz took a few seconds to collect his bearing and then got back to front of the group. The made it to a turn they were supposed to take towards the capitol, Hanz looked around the corner to find a gun barrel poking out. He quickly held his head back behind the wall and called out, "Sie freundlich!?" And peeked his head out again. He heard a quick "Ja" and the gun barrel vanished into the window. The walked by to see a soldier in the window. "Is it clear up ahead?" Hanz said to the soldier.
"Hell no." He said with a hint of Czech in his voice.
"Situation then?" Ralph said, walking behind them.
"Couple hundred Poles trying to defend capitol, holding strong but they should fall with reinforcements and a few more shells." Hanz nodded and ordered his squad to follow him, and they started walking towards the massive building they could make out a few meters away. They quickly ran into a nearby house near the capitol, at least a few yards away, and began firing out the windows. They couldn't tell if they were killing anyone, but they still kept firing. This lasted for a good long hour until more reinforcements came ready to rush the building. Die Wolfe quickly joined the squad, and entered in one of the doors that were busted down, and they split up from there. Hanz ordered for Hedwig and Werner to come with him, and told Ralph to take Aflred and Frank and go around the other way and meet on the roof, where the Polish flag flew, battered, but still flying. Hanz told Michel to stay behind, he worried for him since the munitions building. Hanz quickly when around his corner to find a few German soldiers get gunned down by a few Poles who were hiding, but revealed themselves when they fired. Hanz quickly sprayed his MP 38 into two of the Poles, while Hedwig and Werner gunned down the last two. On the other side, Ralph ran into a surrendering Pole but he startled Frank, who mowed him down with his MG. Ralph looked at the body, then at Frank.
"I.. I didn't know." Frank said. Ralph just sighed and went on and ran into some Poles, 5 or so, trying to put out a fire. They noticed Ralph and the others and quickly brought up their weapons but 2 of them were shot by Alfred and Ralph, and the rest were to shocked to noticed Frank aim the 34 and mow them down. The rest went uneventful for both, mostly because some have been moped up by the fires that have been raging and some of the shells that hit it and even some of the German soldiers that have been trying to fight their way in. There were a few surrendering soldiers that made their way downstairs, but then they got on to the roof, and found a full blown firefight going on. They quickly took cover behind some sandbags that have been placed for protection. Frank set up his MG and quickly started unleashing lead towards the Polish defenders, while the rest of the squad also started shooting as well. Meanwhile, Michel had problems of his own. Secretly he made his way up the building, to mourn the dead, both friend and foe, but found reinforcing Polish troops making their way towards the building, about to break through, mostly because of the accompanying 7TP driving with them. Michel quickly got behind a window with some drapes to hide himself. He aimed and picked off a few, including a couple officers, before the 7TP found him, and turned its turret towards his window. His eyes opened widely before it fired. The window exploded from the HE shell. On the roof the Polish were either dead or surrendering. Hanz the rest made their way towards the flag above the building. Hanz took his knife and cut the flag down, letting it fly into wind. One of the soldiers made his way towards the pole and took out one of the German flags. (To make sure you got it right, its the swastika one.) Hanz, with the rest of the squad started raising the flag up, signaling that they have won the battle. The squad began making their way down to building only to find Michel missing. They began looking all over the capitol for them. They then found the blown out window, and Michel's rifle. They began investigating, until they heard groaning under one of the debris piles. They lifted the pile up to find Michel under it, face down and alive. When they pulled him over, they found his left eye was missing.
(Woooooooah duuuudes. That took a long time to right. Oh well, hopes its worth it. Hope you guys can do whatever you can do to make sure I'm doing something right.)
