Franco-German-occupied Belgian border, 1940

Hanz began making his way to the nearby halftrack where the rest of his squad was. He jumped got into the back and the vehicle drove off into France, where the invasion has already begun. A few days ago the Germans invaded Belgium, ending the battle in about 18 days. Die Wolfe didn't participate in the attack, as Michel was still being treated. He had a piece of shrapnel in his left eye, but it wasn't long enough top pierce the brain. This didn't effect his position in the squad as he was right-handed. The invasion of France itself began a few hours ago, and they were being sent to Paris, as most of the Allied forces were being encircled in the West and many others going North to either the coast or to stop the advancing forces. A moment ago they were given the command to move to Paris as the Werhmacht just broke through the makeshift defense that they put up, leaving Paris open for the rest of the forces. As they were driving off they got a message from the commander to move north to Dunkirk, where the British Expeditionary Forces, French, and the surviving Belgian forces were crossing the English Channel. After a few days a driving they arrived at the line where the current forces were firing at the escaping enemy forces. "Are you Hanz Steiner?" A man in a officer uniform asked.

Hanz turned around and said, "Yes sir, what may be the problem?"

"There is no problem, I just came to tell you that you are moving on a nearby trench filled with some French with a few other regiments. Get the rest of your squad and move on it."

"Yes sir." Hanz replied and went to the rest of the squad. In a few minutes they were back in halftrack and began driving toward the trench. After a minute of driving they saw a few busted tanks. For a few seconds they were confused. But Alfred realized that the tanks were blown from the bottom.

"MINES!" He screamed but it was to late. The halftrack flipped over sending some of the squad flying.

"Ughhhh." moaned Michel who regained councisness and picked himself up. He looked around at the debris and yelled out, "Hanz!? Ralph!?" He heard a reply from Ralph and he ran over to where he yelled. Beside him was a knockout Hanz. And he heard a couple of ruffling and went over to where it was. He found Alfred and Hedwig getting up. He looked around once more and yelled, "Frank!?" He didn't hear a reply. Before he could start looking, Hedwig yelled, "Guys! I found him." They all ran to where he was minus Hanz. There they found Frank, split in half, where his leg about 3 meters away from him. blood stained the grass. And then it started raining, washing up most of the blood from ground.

(Sorry I'm ending this here, I just wanted to kill off someone cause it felt like it was time. But don't worry, more action will come up.)
