The spirit held one of the scrolls in his hands and after thinking deeply for a moment, simply laid it on the ground. When the scroll touched the ground, it started unfurling itself, stretching a small area in the clearing. From the open scroll, some kind of... portal or gate rose from it, and a background of sorts can be seen through it. Curiously enough, through the portal, I could distinctly make out two figures.

It was a girl and a guy, seeming to run away from something. The girl was wearing a strangely gorgeous and secretive armour, while the guy trailing behind her looks familiar... Wait! Isn't he Magina? I thought to myself. Suddenly, I could distinctly hear a voice through the portal, probably from the girl, calling the guy something like Blake? While most of the conversation was blurry as well, I could barely make out the name Lanaya as well as the guy continued talking to her. I could have sworn that the guy looked almost exactly like Magina, just that the one I'm seeing through the portal is obviously in love with the girl and he seemed much warmer then Magina. At that moment of thought, the girl turned her head and seemed to stare through the portal, as if looking right through it, at me.

Glancing curiously at the Spirit, he said, "That is one of the worlds out there, inaccessible to anyone because it tells of a different story, a different life. From there you could probably find people similar to here, and yet with vastly different purposes, or even character. This is how powerful these scrolls are, and why Oracle must be stopped, at all cost. Some worlds are seperated from one another for a reason, reason which should not be challenged." The Spirit suddenly seemed tired as he said, "Before I leave, I have one last gift for you, Jason. While Rylai's mastery of the Frozen Arts greatly increased due to the tree, so did your powers. Your ability to see and listen through time has been greatly enchanced, and we have deemed it is now time for you, to learn the truth. Take this, please."

The Spirit reached out, in his hands was a photograph. Curious, I looked at the photo. It was a picture of some sort of lab, but it was empty. Before I could ask the Spirit anymore question, he was gone, just faded into nothingness, along with the portal. Unsure of what to do now, I looked to Rylai for help.

"Well, shouldn't you use your abilities or something? After all, the Spirit did mention that your powers were stronger now." Rylai commented.

Not seeing any other option and getting tired of all the mystery, I stared deeply into the photo of the lab, and closed my eyes.

When I reopened them, I was standing in the lab. Looking around, I saw that someone was floating around, seeming oblivious to my presence. Although the person seemed familiar, it was the 2 person who walked in that stopped me in my tracks. They were my parents.

What the hell is going on? I was going crazy with questions as my mom was holding a baby and my dad seemed full of resolve.

"You told us you could save him, didn't you? Now we're here, just like you asked, help him!" My dad was shouting at the floating figure.

The figure spoke, a cold and cruel sound, "You know of our world already, from what I told you in your dreams. There was actually a myth, a legend, that if the blood of the counterpart from one world is injected into that of another world, that person could heal from any disease, wound, or even death itself."

It was only then did I realise the baby seemed really sick, as if he had trouble breathing.

"But an even older legend speaks that, if a newborn is injected with that blood of one from another world, strange and magical things would occur. To be honest, I am a big fan of such mysterys." The figure then floated over, holding a syringe in his hands.

Hovering over the baby, he drew out his own blood, injecting it into the baby. Watching this, I suddenly felt the urge to vomit. As strange as this scene was, I couldn't help but realise that the baby was actually me! After the figure injected his blood into the baby, he seemed to get much better, breathing easily and even letting out a cute giggle, a strange sound in the tense atmosphere.

My dad breathed a sigh of relieve, then asked the figure, "Okay Nerif, since you'd save my son, here it is."

"Ahh, the list. These people are suspected to have special or abnormal abilities, am I right?" Nerif asked my father.

Nodding, he passed a piece of paper over to Nerif, then wrapping his arms around my mom's shoulders, steered her out of the lab.

To my surprise, Nerif suddenly turned and fired an orb at me, blasting me off my feet. When I got up, he was looking at me curiously.

"Interesting... someone who possessed the ability to enter this state, just like me? Who are you?" Nerif said with pure malice.

Struggling to my feet, I glared at him, "My name is Foresight, what was that a while ago?"

"Foresight? Very interesting... well that was simply a transaction, a father saving his son's life in exchange for giving me a list of people to kill." Nerif said, "The candidates will be eliminated, and so will you."

Before he could do anything, however, I closed my eyes and when I reopened them, I was back at the clearing, with Rylai right beside me. Falling to the ground, I felt my insides about to burst. All these times, trying to fight against the Oracle, thinking that I'm some kind of hero, but all the while I carried his blood inside of me.

The Ice Wizard's words rang in my head: "Along the way, you, could discover something that may be hard to overcome. When that moment arrives, just remember, you are not alone, you have never been, for a long time."

Slamming my fist onto the ground, a whirl of emotions passed through me: rage, despair, hopelessness, disgust. For all I know, my abilities probably came from his blood, since I was so sick I'd probably have died if not for Nerif's blood. Then there was the list, my dad may not have been the one who killed them, but because of me, he probably might have been the one who gave Nerif a knife so he could do it.

"What did you see, Jason?" Rylai was asking me, droplets of tears could be seen in her eyes.

"Let him be, my dear." A soothing voice echoed.

Looking up, I saw Enchantress slowly walking towards us.

In a fit of rage, I stood up and shouted, "You knew! You knew that I'm not a hero! Hell, I could even be the bad guy for all I know!"

"Is that why we decided to trust you, Jason? Why did you think we chose to believe in you, regardless of what happened in the past. Like I said before, it is not your past that defines you, Jason, but your actions that follows." Enchantress said. "We are simply running out of time, the Oracle will move soon, and with the scrolls, he could be anywhere. The Ice Wizard has contacted me to help you, Rylai, to get to your sister, and we must hurry."

Still at a loss from what I'd discovered about my past, I barely managed to nod. Although Nerif's blood runs inside of me, nothing has changed. I'm going to find that bastard, and when I do, I will definitely kill him.

Enchantress said, "There are many different kinds of magic in this world, and I'm going to use mine to open the portal into the Desert of Misrule. Go and help Invoker, for I fear even he has met his match this time."

As she said, she waved her staff in an intricate pattern, lacing the air with magic and a mysterious gust of wind suddenly blew all around us. The last thing I heard before passing out was, "You are a hero, Jason, do not let your past defeat you, but fight it instead."

{Nerif stood in front of Lycan, slightly amused at the struggling wolf-man. He had used his ability, Fortune's End to trap Lycan as he easily plucked the scroll from his hands. Looking at the 3 scrolls in his hands, he smiled. Eyes suddenly changing colour, he looked back at Lycan. Lycan stuttered, "No..
No!! You... you... promised me!" With a bright flash of pure light, Lycan was gone. Deep in thought, Nerif cast one of the scrolls onto the ground as a portal rose up and on the other side, was a land filled with sand, the Desert of Misrule.}

[Author's note: Thank you so much lovefreedom2014 for mentioning me in the final chapters of your book! xD Well, the scene where Jason saw Blake and Lanaya is actually from the last parts of Dota 2 story: Lanaya's hidden secrets, which is a book written by lovefreedom2014.
