While falling over the edge with Rylai isn't exactly the best plan I've had so far, I suppose you could call it some form of a hunch. When the sword glowed at the edge, I could feel someone, or something calling at me through it, as if sensing my predicament. Therefore when I let go of Rylai's hand and grabbed Eldwurm, I'd decided to trust that feeling and dive after Rylai.

Now free falling downwards onto possibly an endless fall, I held Rylai within my arms. Suddenly from nowhere, a burst of cold wind surrounded us, and we stopped falling, as if we'd landed on solid ground.

Looking down, I saw now that me and Rylai was on top of a sort of creature with blue scale. When I finally realised I was on top of a blue wyvern (sort of dragon), I nearly fell off it. As the wyvern slowly flew upwards, it was trying to communicate with me.

From the sword, we were apparently able to exchange our thoughts with one another. (W represents the wyvern while M represents me)

W: Who are you? You don't look like an Eldwurm to me, how are we even able to think to one another?

M: I'm Jason, but you can also call me Foresight. Its not me but the sword that called you.

W: Wait... the sword has the heart of an Eldwurm!?

M: ... yeah...

At this, the Eldwurm flipped over a full 180° as if its trying to shake us off. Rylai and me have no choice but to desperately hold onto its scale, while my sword was fortunately already sheathed.

M: Wait!! It wasn't me who killed an Eldwurm!!

Hearing this, the Eldwurm flipped back.

W: Then how did you come in possession of this blade?

M: It was given to me, to help me fight against someone called Nerif, the Oracle, have you heard of him before?

W: Does that make a good story?

M: Wait what?

W: The fight. Would it make a good story?

M: Erm... yeah, probably?

W: Okay good, I'd help you then. My name is Auroth, and I'm a female Winter Wyvern, with an emphasis on the gender. Already too many had thought I was a male wyvern due to my aggressive nature.

Now it was my turn to feel weirded out. The wyvern seemed unnaturally good-natured, which makes me slightly worried about facing Nerif while riding on her. However, since I didn't have much options, I suppose I don't really have a choice.

M: Alright then, fly us to the pit, and I'll give one hell of a story.

When we raise just above the edge of the pit, I have to admit we probably looked extremely formidable to Nerif. As me and Rylai rose back from the edge riding a blue wyvern, Nerif seemed shocked that we weren't dead yet.

"But... how?" Was all Nerif said as he stared.

Before I could reply however, I noticed the thing behind Nerif, which shut me up instantly. It wasn't so much its size than the fact that it looked so terrifying that I had trouble keeping my hands from trembling.

W: So... you didn't mention we'd have to fight a creature like that, or are we running now?

M: No! We're going to defeat it and then you will get your story.

W: Huh...

Even without actually seeing her expression, I could feel the disbelive simply through her thought.

"Enough! Kill them Roshan, and I'll release you from your prison!" Nerif shouted.

Uttering uh-oh inside, I held on tight when Auroth dived to the left, just as Roshan blew a wave of fire in our direction. Unable to hold onto her, I slipped but luckily crashed onto the pit and not skydive over the edge again. When I fell onto the ground, my bag slipped off me as well, landing a few feet away.
