"So you closed the gates in a forest, why on Earth would you do that!?" Lyralei screamed.

Almost as if unable to meet her eyes, Invoker said, "It wasn't by our choice. Since Nerif tried to seal the Inferno Gates, it had been trying to break through every now and then. It was our duty to find where it sprung and block anything that tries to come out of it, using everything that we had. When we found out how to seal the gates for good, the last location was known to be in the Western Forests, where the heroes from the other side would try to break through yet again."

"When we reached there, the gates had already opened. Nerif had managed to cast some kind of magic on the gates that made it really hard for them to come through, but one of them did. No one knew who was it that came through, but it fled, leaving the other heroes struggling to pass. The battle that followed was harsh and chaotic, since the forsaken heroes were still able to cast spells and powerful dark magic through the gates. In the final moments before we sealed the gates, I used the most powerful tornado spell I could muster and swept every dark creature and matter back into the gates just before the Ice Wizard sealed it. I'm really sorry Lyralei, but I think your house may have been caught by my tornado when it flew through the portal."

Just then, however, a huge blast of red energy radiated across the room, locking all of us in place and trapping us. A sinister laughter could be heard as someone came to view, the very one who I'd seen in my trip back in time.

"So... these are the heroes that are supposed to stop me? The heroes who are supposed to prevent me from destroying all the worlds!?" He screamed casting another blast at Davion, knocking him backwards.

The Dragon Knight watched helplessly as his sword flew from him, landing a few paces away. Struggling to break free of his spell, I could only watch helplessly as Nerif floated towards me.

"And you... Jason. I've recalled how you were such a pathetic weakling, about to die the moment you were born. How sad is it, that the hero you people chose to defend you, turned out to be the very one who shares my blood." He said as he spat on the floor, glaring at me. "Soon all of you will come to know my true power, the true power of an Oracle!"

Just as he said that, Invoker somehow managed to break free from the magical bind and casting a deafening blast, blasting him back quite a few paces. However, from nowhere, another deafening blast hit Invoker squarely, sending him backwards as well. Suddenly fiercely attentive, Invoker glared at a specific direction, just as someone stepped out from the shadows.

"It's been a while, Invoker." The... 'thing' that said that was wearing a mask, wielding a staff that glowed green on its tip.

"Rubick, Grand Magus. I'd thought you would be wiser than to ally yourself with someone the likes of Nerif." Invoker retorted.

Rubick smiled as he replied, "Now now Invoker, no need to get hostile. I'm simply here to ensure that the world is in 'balance'. You see, Nerif told me of an even greater threat, should he fail to carry out his plan. And believe me, this is actually the better alternative."

Invoker seemed hesitant all of a sudden, as if afraid what he was thinking could be true, "But it is impossibe! We've already made sure no one could get to it, no one!"

"Oh, but what if I had this?" Nerif said, raising the scroll for all to see.

As if recognizing it, Invoker seems to deflate all of a sudden, crashing onto the floor. Lyralei went over to help him up, as Nerif laughed mercilessly.

"You see now? You people never had a chance to begin with. To destroy me is to destroy all the worlds you fools. Once I get HIM from the pit, not even you, Jason, can hope to stop me then." Nerif sneered at all of us, holding the scroll as if it was a grenade or a time bomb.
