(AN: I know I dont like AN's at the beginning of a story but I just wanted to let you guys know that this is my first story,and I NEED feedback whether it is good or bad tell me what good and what is bad or needs work.Thanks and enjoy the book!!!) -Madison

Madison's POV:

"I am a lost girl right now,I ran away from the orphanage in California,and I am now in the woods."I think to myself.I dont have a family becasue I was told my mother died right after I was born and my father couldn't take me,I never really had a family.I always had friends sure.but they were never really close becasue I was the one girl with no parents.Everyone was so pitiful whenever I told them my "story" if you could call it that.I dont want people thinking I'm weak,I hate that.

I let the wind whip through my auburn hair and my hazel eyes water from the cool wind.I was running for quite a while becasue I need to find my family I need to find my dad and show him that he can take me and I am not a disappointment and I am worthy.My outfit was fit for the weather which wasnt bad for Colirado.I also always wore a nechalce that was a bottle cap that said,"A ring of salt will protect you" and it had a ring of salt around it.I didnt understand what it meant,but it made me feel safe and sound.

And I know what you must be thinking "You're 17 why aren't you in school its sooo important?!?" and I know but the truth is I've always been a grade above everyone so I actually graduated early.Back to the story.

So as I was walking and feeling at peace with the world,I heard a branch snap and got paranoid,I continued on my way cautiously.I came to a path and was glad that I can find my way to a main road now or at least a place for help,not that I need it.As I was walking down the path I wasnt looking where I was going and tripped down a small hill and fell at the feet of 5 people.Two of them very tall and two of the most important people to you that you will find out.
